Loved every bits of it (solo traveler review)
I stayed there for one night all the way from Bantayan Island, took us few turns to finally get to the place as I thought the driver that offered me a ride from Tubigon knows the way around. Good thing my reception was working and it was also great that I wandered the whole island in less than 5 hours. It was totally hidden which I absolutely love! Funny thing was that, I was the only guest during that time. I'm the kind of traveler who tends to actually adjust if I may term it that way, as long as I am treated fairly and well. So here goes with the facilities, so and so, it's not ideal for luxury travelers, it's not ideal for those impatient (don't order when you're already famished, order before it reached that state) and clearly not ideal for conformist. So if you're someone who expects a hair dryer in your comfort room, this place ain't for ya. If you're into nightlife, this place ain't for you either. I myself is an escapist kind of traveler, so I loved to be surprise, staggered, dismayed, disappointed, yada yada.. If you're an occasional traveler who wants to explore, this might be good for you. I find the place very peaceful, clean and the staff were very friendly. It was a good price for a good place like this to be honest. It was a great stay, and thanks for making my day worth it by offering me a day tour around Bohol.

lovely location if you want to stay at a quiet and isolated resort. pool was quite nice although the kids pool was a bit dirty, not much to worry about though. staff accomodated to every need and were very helpful and sweet. had a great view of the beach as well. there are definitely some nicer resorts around the area but Hidden Coral was very budget friendly and worth every cent in my opinion.

Recommended for Family
My family always chose this resort whenever we have a gathering. They have a pool ideal for children and a function hall for any gatherings. I highly recommend this resort if you are vacationing with family. You may need a good transport with a local driver because the place is a little bit far from the highway though.

Friendly staff but place quite run down
Nice view by the sea, friendly staff, but place quite run down. If you are okay living with very basic facilities, you might like this place. Dont expect hotel facilities. This place is quite far in from restaurants, you can have your meal at the resort itself but food takes very long to come. It's better if you pre-order your food and tell them what time do you want to have your meals by.

Worst place imaginable
I usually don't write reviews but if I can save one person or family from this place I will rest better at night. First off don't believe the pictures posted, the place does not look anything like them. We arrived at the airport and took a taxi that said he knew where the place was. Left Tagbiliran city and went over the bridge to Panglao island on a nicely kept concrete road. Eventually the road turned to dirt and eventually to a Goat path. About a mile down the path (and there were no signs to the hotel until the last 100 yards) we finally found it. When you enter the place (i wont even call it a resort) it looks like a goat farm. You pull up to the reception building and there was one receptionist who looked annoyed as if we had just woken her from a nap. After a quick check in I asked where the restaurant and bar were. No bar, kitchen closed. Went to the room, no refrigerator. We will bring one said the maintenance man. Refrigerator arrived but not enough electrical plugs to run the refrigerator the TV and cable box. Sir we bring you extension cord. Extension cord arrives and they cant figure out how to make the cable TV work. This is a divers club right, I ask. Yes sir. How much to rent equipment ??? Oh sir we have no dive equipment. Boat ? No sir no Boat. How do I get to a store for water, soda, chips. Oh sir we have no transport but we can call a taxi, only one hour wait if they know how to find this place. By now my wife and kid can see me getting pissed off. Thank Christ I had saved the phone number for the guy who dropped us off, called him and told him to come back and get us. Went back to reception and told them we were leaving. Receptionist said we had to pay for one night (4,250p), guess what i told her ???? The whole 15 minutes we were there I saw 2 staff and no guests. Vacation at the Prison in Guantanamo and I assure you will have a better time. The one bright spot was I booked thru the Bohol Info tourist bureau and they have promised to return my deposit within 7 days. Ended up on Alona beach at the Lost Horizon hotel and had a great vacation with my family, I would go back again. Hidden Coral Divers Club - Hotel HELL !!!!!!!
