Our Sagada Home for 3 days
The Hidden Hill Inn is on top of a hill, which means from the street, you have to go up several stairs to reach the house. the room is basic, with pillows and blankets. bathroom shower has a heater but not the faucet water. I was hoping that there is an electric fan inside the room but unfortunately there's none. John, the owner is accommodating, he helps us check-in and even brought some of our bags. The Inn has its own common kitchen where you can cook your own food. They also have a place for bonfire activity. Just a recommendation: put railings so that people, especially the elders can go up the stairs with support. Also put lighting at the pathway so it will not be hard to go up and down the stairs. Overall, our stay was great!

Everything was okay except...
This inn has everything from hot water to kitchen equipments so that you can cook if you'd like. The beds are comfy and the restroom is clean with no damaged pipes or shower heads. Essentially, the inn is practically new. One thing that is off is the location. It is the farthest inn along the road and the nearest restaurant is i think a kilometer away (maybe less) if im not mistaken. A sari sari store is relatively near so thats a plus. So consider these things when you decide to check in at Hidden Hill Inn.

Promise undelivered
I could have given an above average rating for this inn but two major flaws stopped me. The inn is clean, basic, no towels (but available upon request), no toiletries (so bring your own), has a kitchen where you can cook for a fee. The inn is situated on top of a hill and with a baby in tow, we asked for luggage assistance. We got the assistance that we needed but when Angie asked us if we brought some of our luggages up already and we said "yes," she made a side comment saying "ok. kasi hindi namin trabaho ang magdala ng lahat ng gamit nyo." It was rude, I thought. But I decided not to comment cause we just arrived. But it didn't leave a nice impression on us. Overall, our stay was okay and the owner John was nice and all but when our water heater needed to be fixed as it was smoking,he promised that he will replace the plug the next day (Feb 25). We were out the next day and had high hopes that we will be able enjoy a warm shower afterwards but it was never fixed. I was annoyed when he said he wasn't informed about it (or maybe he forgot??) Whatever the reason was, we had to shower using cold water in a cold Sagada weather before we left early in the morning of Feb 26th. He did offer for us to use the driver's quarter across the street but we refused as we can't be out in the cold early in the morning. There are lots of room for improvement for this inn-- 1. customer service 2. promises made has to be delivered.

Small basic inn, clean but hard for seniors
Stayed in this inn for 3 nights. The facilities are basic, as most Sagada accomodations are. They do have hot shower but with the cold weather in Sagada, the heat of the shower is somewhat lacking. Since the inn is hidden in a hill, you have to go up a good number of steps that are quite uneven and doesn't have a handrail. For groups with senior citizens, these steps going up might be a problem. It was even quite a problem even for us who went trekking for several hours. Mr. John Magwilang, the owner, on the other hand, is definitely a pro for Hidden Hill. He was very friendly and accommodating. He even entertained us with some anecdotes of local life. He also arranged for us our trip to Marlboro Country and Blue Soil.

Ohh Stairs!; Far from the crowded area, Basic, Neat and Serene
Hassle free reservation via sms, prompt, hospitable and easy to talk to. No need to haggle because the rooms are very clean and worth the price. "Oh the stairs!" because you'll be needing extra energy walking upstairs especially after all the tiring activities. So might as well buy everything you need (like groceries) to reserve your energy, be careful with your steps and bring flashlight! :) Location & Amenities: -15 mins walk from the Tourist Municipal Hall/Tourist Registration office, located at the right side. -Near to the cave connection entrance (Sumaguing & Lumiang Caves) -Private room with private bathroom and hot shower -with receiving area,Common kitchen and dining area -Cooking is allowed (minimal fee of P50/day), basic utensils also provided, Free boiling for hot water -Shuttle service for P50/one way to the town proper -No internet connection/free wifi but at least the location have good network signal for mobile data connection
