Central location in Baclayon, basic rooms
The place is located very central in Baclayon, not far from the church in Tagbilaran direction. It's not far to the market and to the Baluarte area. Walkin price for a bungalow (I stayed in No. 3) is 1200 P, which in my opinion is slightly too much for what it is. The room is very basic, queen size, not very comfy, bed, small aircon unit, small TV (I never tried if it works), bathroom with toilet and cold shower. A basic breakfast (instant coffee, eggs, rice or bread) is included. It's very loud, especially on weekdays as there is a school next door. The owners are very nice people who always like to have a chat.

Kind owner, good budget option
This place is quite basic, but a pretty good setup for a budget traveller, and slightly off the beaten path so it has a less touristy feel. The owner is awesome - she helped us with any questions we had, arranging transport and did our laundry at no extra charge. Because it's a homestay it's a much nicer experience than a generic hotel. The place has a simple, rustic charm to it, but is still comfortable. Room pros: air conditioning, clean, bed is comfortable enough Room cons: Cold shower only, ants come if you leave food in the trash can (but they are very tiny harmless ants that go away quickly if you throw the trash out). Overall we are glad we stayed here and had a good experience.

Second timer and still nice.. :)
Stayed here for the second time with my family. Miss Mayette Javier the owner is accomodating and always makes sure that we are well taken care off. Breakfast is normal. Room is also normal, only the comfort room have hard time sinking the water after continous shower. I find the location of this homestay nicer than in panglao because its quiet and i like afternoon walks by the port near the Municipal Hall of Baclayon. :) The dining hall / garden have mosquitos but its a nice place for chat with the family. :) Wifi also has strong and fast connection... :)

Not the best location
Instead of twin room that we pre-booked online we got a 6 bed doorm room so a bit disappointing. the place has a nice garden and is not the quietest since the property is right next door to the school. Also, it is quite far from the beaches but easily accessible by jeep (only 8 pesos to Tagbilaran) or by tricycle (60 pesos if you're lucky - 100 pesos is a standard tho). Not much to do in Baclayon, the Church is still under renovation, but there is a nice pier if you want to catch a sunrise/sunset or a ferry to Panglao Island. The hosts were friendly and took time to talk. It was a real pleasure to meet the family and spend a little time with the family. The staff was super nice, lady working in the kitchen very helpful. Ah, the breakfast not outstanding but ok, rice egg and slice of ham. We've found a lot of bedbugs on the sheets too, after our 3rd of 4th night. Stayed 7 nights, possibly would choose somehwere in Panglao next time. One step from the beach and no need to spend money on transport.

Nice place with very friendly owners
We spent one night at this homestay which in fact is a guesthouse. The rooms were fine and there is a seating area outside. The owners are very hospitable and really give you the feeling you are at home. The Baclayon church is within walking distance and the market as well. There are a number of interesting heritage houses close to the homestay. We loved our stay.
