Spectacular view...love the water villa room.
We checked in here to experienced Huma water villa room. So far it didn't disappoint me, we have a great room, personal spa, and view of the ocean and island across our villa. Our water villa room is spacious enough to accommodate 4 person max (only 2 of us when we checked in). It's neat and clean with a working AC. About the internet signal don't expect any good signal here and likewise with the rest of Coron island. Huma has their own tower signal but it's still far from major network, and most signal are block with high mountains, etc. So if you're into selfie and social media networking then wait until you return to the mainland/city like Cebu or Manila where signal is good. Huma has it's own recreational facilities and activities for a day, they have scheduled hours and depending on weather, so check with the front desk . Kayaking is free and snorkeling gear is also free of charge. They have a pool table, table tennis, darts at their activity room. So that will keep you busy during your stay here. I wouldn't recommend paying for island excursion here, it cost more money here than in Coron poblacion/city. Coron poblacion have better tour and cheaper price with more option to choose. But getting there means you have to check out from Huma and check in another at another hotel in Coron since it's two different place and location. There's only one bar/restaurant at Huma (Blu Bar) and service is slow but you can preorder by calling ahead. Just get their menu or take photo with your smartphone and preorder. There you have it.

Long Wait For Breakfast Food
At the time of our stay July 24, 2017 there is only one restaurant in the island that serve their free breakfast. I waited 45 minutes for my food to arrive - very long wait although there are only us & other group [6 people] in the restaurant at that time. It's everyday and not just this incident and as what other had reported in the past review. Food also is limited of choice some on the menu are not available. For this price [$400/day] of resort its unacceptable! Why not change your breakfast to BUFFET!

Maldives Like Luxury Resort with Private Villas
Huma Island Resort has about 80 suites as is divided into the Beach Villas, The Water Villas, The Family Villas and the Presdidential Villa. We stayed at one of the Water Villas off the Corals of Huma Island and a water villa here huge by any standard! It has separate divisions for the room, the bathroom (of which it has a separete bidet, a separate bath tub and a separate shower room) the room has a large king side bed and a shorter sofa bed and is spacious and an outside foyer area that has an individual heated jacuzzi for every room. It has it's own coffee maker of which you can brew your own coffee via coffee pods, 24 hour wifi service, unlimited bottled water, ironing board, free wifi service, free fruit platter and a free bottle of wine for guests and a lot more. Of Course, The meals from the different restaurants, the private van service, the ferry boat service are all included in the price. They have their own power generator, their own desalination plant (not used for drinking water, a private seaplane service and also complimentary shuttle bus service and ferry boat service included on the price. among the amenities include: complimentary Wi-Fi, and all the modern comforts such as air conditioning, a flat screen HD TV with Satellite dish, DVD player, iPod dock, electronic safe, mini-bar, coffee and tea amenity, iron and ironing board, and a spacious bathroom with double sinks, outside shower area beside the jacuzzi, bathtub and rain shower in the room, Ipod Dock, potable non drinking water from the desalination plant, On-call Villa host, 24-hour in-room dining (if you don't want to partake of the buffet meals, and are also included in the price), On Call Golf Cart Service to other areas of the Island if you don't want to walk.

Five star resort... attentive staff, but food needs to improve
I call it a five star resort because of the cost and the view. We got a villa right on the waters. It was just amazing to sit on the porch and look over the sea. The views were truly magnificent. Never mind that the air conditioning didn't get really cold even though it says 17 degrees. I put that to my hormones. The technician did come but said that there was nothing he could do. So as long as you are okay looking at the view, it is FIVE STAR. Now, the food is a different business altogether. While there are several restaurants, the kitchen is one and the same. I ordered Surf and Turf, but because of my allergies (yes, aside from the hormones), I was served double TURF. The problem was I didn't know it was cooked for dogs in mind. Maybe I wouldn't give it to my dogs too. It was well done, difficult to even cut. But here's the thing... the staff and the managers really worked hard to please the guest. Finally, I was given the catch of the day - cooked perfectly. My advice is to stick to the catch of the day. Just make sure you aren't served Jackfish all the time because that could be the only catch of the day. Yes, I agree the place looked a bit rundown. Not exactly what one would expect for the cost. But the staff tried their best to please and I am told that the resort is due for renovation. So HUMA can be truly five star all the way.

Huma Resort
Excellent place. Very caring employees. Felt like I was in Maldives. Fly in with seaplane but due to bad weather had to take a local flight. Resort was on top If it and even brought a new reservation to our room. 👌Room was sparkling clean.
