Good location and accomodating.
We arrived at this place at 6:30am and they accomodated us soon even though check in time should be 2:00pm, Knowing we came from a long trip Iver (?) immediately assigned us to a vacant room. The owner Dave gave way his room and transferred us to fit 8 of us for a prize we agreed this is still affordable. Staff Rizza Panganiban and Virginia Antonio were cooked budget breakfast for us. Saved us time to look for cheap restaurant. Location is in Stn 2, in the center of Stn 1 and 3, about a few minutes only to the beach front as well as the Talipapa, about 15 minutes walk to DMall. Easily accessible to their transportation. The building needs renovation on the lower floor since there are some cracks on their painted walls and ceilings. But all in all I am satisfied with the location, affordable price, pleasant and accomodating staffs. I recommend this to travelers on a budget.

Wonderful Place but Flooding
Went there last weekend, (July 8-10). It was raining towards Boracay and the moment we arrived at Il Portico, it was flooding at the front. Il Portico in itself was great and the beach was only a minute or two away only if the street outside was not flooded. It actually ruined the atmosphere. Almost all the low places in Boracay was flooding during that time -- poor zoning. But the caretaker was really hospitable and even gave us 3 large-sized pizza for free. We stayed on the top floor. Good accommodation and the caretaker was also a great cook. We enjoyed eating her homemade dishes rather than eating at the restaurants on the beachfront. You just need to request beforehand and maybe give some advance payment for the meals so she could buy at the nearby market for the ingredients. If only it was not flooding, it would have been a very great place to stay. Decent internet speed though it was raining.

Had A Great Stay At The Il Portico and Boracay
My family and I went on a 3 week vacation to the Philippines where 2 weeks of it was in Boracay. We stayed at the Il Portico and had a wonderful time on the island as well as the Il Portico. The resort has an at home vibe and the staff is really friendly. There's a little patio area in the front which was nice to sit and drink out there in the early evenings. The rooms are big & the furniture is nice. The a/c worked great which is huge since it gets really hot in Boracay. The showers worked well. I think they mentioned a couple rooms can sleep up to around 6 or 8 people so a large family can share a room and save money. We stayed at the very top 3rd floor which offered a lot of privacy and large deck area where I was able to do some early morning stretches and cardio routine. The stairs are rather steep so may not be ideal for the really elderly but we had no issues with it. The location isn't right on the sand but is still very good. It took me about a minute to reach the sand & the beach was beautiful. Right across the path of the resort there is a small shop so you can buy drinks and snacks. As soon as you reach the sand you have Nigi Nigi Nu Noos bar/restaurant to the left to get a tasty cheap drink. The Il Portico is centrally located being right in the middle at station 2 so its a very short walk to restaurants, the beach, shopping, D'Mall, and the entertainment and nightlife. In my opinion station 2 is the best place if you want to be close to the action, otherwise, you will be walking quite a ways. The rooms were affordable. We were also able to save a ton by buying groceries and having the staff cook it for us from time to time. This was a great benefit because restaurant prices went up quite a bit from the last time I was in Boracay. It would have been expensive eating out 3 times a day plus goodies like smoothies, ice cream etc for the kids. Thumbs up for that. Overall, we had a great stay and a great time at Boracay and would definitely stay at the Il Portico and visit Boracay again.

Great Location, Great Hosts, Good Wifi and Good Prices
Was in Boracay for 3 nights in April 2016, and needed a clean, convenient and cheap place to stay. A friend of a friend recod this place. Station 2 is perfect locale and right in the middle of White Beach! Close to the bars and restaurants and also across the street from the D'Talipapi market! (Great place to buy some ridiculous fresh seafood and restaurants make it for you- a MUST) plus plenty of souvenirs post meal. This is a deluxe room w air con and good wifi for less costs! Good alternative to a resort- kinda like an Air BNB. Nothing fancy but good value and felt safe for anyone as the hosts were terrific! Gave us great info on how to make a 7am flight from Caticlan airport- in fact hailed is a Trike (tuk tuk) at 5am!

My favorite place to stay in boracay
Since 1998 my swiss husband and I have been going to boracay every year and we stay in this beautiful Island for at least 3 months. In the last 12 years we have been staying in Il Portico beach house due to its homey atmosphere, and most importantly, friendly and accommodating staff. Its location ,less than 2 minutes walk to hte white sand beach and to talipapa (seafood wet market). The rooms are big and clean, and very affordable. You can do your own cooking or they can cook it for you at very reasonable price. I recommend Il Portico to all my friends in Switzerland, and they all loved it.They stay in Il Portico when they are in boracay.I really loved this place and we will always stay in Il Portico when we go to boracay.
