It is an old building and it looks haunted. There is also more than an hour when there is loss in power and I had to shower in the dark because I had to leave at that moment.

I don’t mind the building being old but there are a lot of small and big cockroaches inside the room. CR smelled bad also even after multiple flushing of the toilet.

For 5 days stay the bed sheet has never been replaced once. Extremely watery, rusty color. Door locks are also unsafe. Although it is a spacious room, you can hear the other room.

Their toilet doesnt have a drain. Water gets stuck and becomes smelly. Their AC is not functioning well. I couldn't sleep well. We were given room on the 3rd floor snd they don't have an elevator. My knees were hurting climbing up.

The counter lady is nice and kind but never, never, never again. It is traumatic. The hotel has spider collections - tarantula and the scary ones. I don't feel safe inside. The entrance, the stairs, the people outside - they all look dangerous. The room is dirty. The water faucet is leaking. No. No. No.

The staffs are very accommodating and nice. The price is 755/night and it's located in downtown but the place is old, rusty, dirty, dull, dark and has a lot of cockroaches all over the place. We had 3 on our room. My allergy attacked due to the uncleaned carpet. You need to take a lot of stairs just to get into their lobby which is located at the 2nd floor. Take note, 2nd floor! You need 2-3 sets of stairs per floor. The comfort room has been divided into 2, one for the shower and for the toilet seat. The floor with the toilet seat doesn't have any water drainage in case you spill some water on the floor. I will not recommend the place to anyone. 😢

The room is big but old and rusty. The lobby area smells like an old rotten wood, with cockroaches crawling on the floor. The garbage can on the lobby looked like it wasn't removed for days. The tv is not working too. The bathroom was only sprayed with air freshener but the smell of an old unused room is overpowering, with faucets full of rust and stains. The velvet carpet is dirt magnet.

The place was creepy and so disgusting! The entire room, especially the CR, was so smelly. You will see roaches creeping everywhere. The place is so old and badly needs renovation. What's funny is that we left our food (biscocho) in our room almost full and when we came back, to our surprise, it's all gone. It surely was stolen by a person, not a rat because all of it disappeared, leaving no trace of rodent biting or anything. Very bad experience indeed! Not recommended.

Worst experience so far. So I booked this place because the pictures on the site were decent. I was deceived! When I arrived in the place, my first impression was: this place looks like hotels you see in horror movies. It was situated in an old building. To add, I was scared for my security and safety because of the following: 1.) The locks are old. 2.) There's a mystery door that leads to I don't know where. That is so creepy. 3). The locks of the window are broken. The only thing that keeps them close are strings and tapes. People can easily access my room from outside. 4.) There's a gas pipe which could really be a dangerous. Overall, my experience in this hotel is not pleasant. Even your php 500 is not worth to stay in this place.

The first room was at the corner of 3rd floor and when we went inside it, it was old, had broken parts on the wall. There was some eerie feeling inside the room. There were 4 beds and then the bathroom, toilet had no flush, no trash cans. Good thing my friend took a peek on the next room because it was open and we requested to be transferred even if there were only 2 single beds. We didn't mind to just have 2 extra beds on the carpet. The 2nd room was much better. It was also old but we are not choosy for just Php 130+ per person a night and it already has aircon! This time the toilet had a flush and this hotel is not for people who needs style and comfort. We were out most of the time and we did have a good rest. No eerie feeling. It must've been a nice hotel during its glory but we were on a budget so it was a nice stay for us. The people of Java were accommodating and friendly. They gave us towels but these were not the soft ones and then had a lot of tissue rolls and little soap bars. Thanks!

The room was big for a single occupant but it wasn't cleaned well. There were dust and water marks on the floor. It simply means that the room attendant didn't clean it. Not sure with the linens on the bed if they are clean since I smelled something awful. Dormitel Bacolod is far better than Java Pension House.

This hotel is not suppose to operate anymore, because they have no amenities and facilities no longer working, no water at all!!! And we've seen a lot of cockroaches walking around the bed, from the moment we open the door. No soap and dirty towels, bedsheets (looks like a rag and lots of stain in the pillow case). And even inside the hotel we've seen a lot of outsider(scary)... There’s no security guard!!outside. Very unsanitary, and very unhygienic. The worst pension house ever!! I will never recommend “java pension house to anyone!” such a waste of money we didn't get our refund!.

Sa tingin ko okay lang sya. I was planning to cancel my booking at first when I read negative reviews after I booked. But for the benefit of the doubt I try to go to the hotel to check it myself and I found out that it's okay, no problem with me. It's proportionate to the price of the hotel.

The place was not safe, there are a lot of bystanders downstairs. The comfort room stinks. Towels were overused. The sink was clogged. The toilet is dirty. It’s a waste of money. Worst experience!
