More than Worst
We talked to the owner Ms Judith way back September 2016 to booked their rooms for Ati Atihan Festival for January 2017. I made a down payment 50% of the room rate as we discussed for reservation. When the day of our visit Ms Judith told us the there are no rooms available and she made a mistake in giving the wrong room rate during that time. The rate she is giving to us is 3x compare to the original rate.

Don't trust!
The Atihan Festival was January 10-17. I booked this place in September. January 4th, when I was already in the Philippines, they cancelled my reservation and left us stranded. Everything else was already booked. Thanks Judith's Pension!

A refuge during a typhoon.
We were forced to stay here when a small typhoon forced the coast guard to halt any further boats from crossing to Boracay. Flights to Caticlan were diverted to Kalibo because of the storm and many found themselves without a place to stay for the night as there were not enough hotels/motels in this small town to accommodate all who got stranded. We were lucky to find Judith's Pension after we were told by every other establishment that they were sold out for the evening although this is not the type of facility we would normally feel comfortable staying at. Rooms were very modestly appointed and were very small (100 sf). The tiny bathroom (15 sf?) contained both a shower and toilet in one space and had only cold running water which wasn't a big deal since it was so warm and humid despite the storm. A small AC unit was in the room which made it bearable initially but because of the storm, the whole town lost power during the middle of the night and it became suffocatingly unpleasant. The room contained a small TV which was a helpful diversion until the power outage. Despite the very basic amenities, Judith and her sons (who run the place) were very pleasant and helpful. Given the circumstances, we were grateful to have a roof over our heads. Room rates were very inexpensive.
