Huoneesta löytyi käsisaippuat, muut aineet täytyy olla mukana. Hotellissa pieni uima-allas. Tekstiilit siistit, yleisilme siisti. Aamiainen ilmainen, mutta heikko klo 7-9. Esim. Juomana ainoastaan musta kahvi ja vesi. Muusta täytyy erikseen maksaa. Henkilökunta erittäin ystävällistä. Tapaturmia kävi omalla matkallani, henkilökunta vei omalla autollaan sairaalaan (ilmaiseksi) ja keittiöstä valmistettiin ilmaiseksi ystävälleni ruoka mikä sopii kun ruokamyrkytys yllä. Hotellin sijainti ja palvelu tuovat kokonaisuudeksi viisi tähteä.

The hotel is clean, nice and quiet. The bathroom is clean but the water's cold. Hope someday they would install heaters. It is also kind of the staff to let us check-in earlier than 12noon because we arrived early. We find it difficult to get cellphone signals. We have to get outside to send a message or make a call. The breakfast meal also has to improve.

Your Travel Guide to El Nido as a Filipino Traveler

How to Get to El Nido from Manila and Major Philippine Cities

The most convenient way to reach El Nido from Manila and other major Philippine cities is by air. Flights operate into Lio Airport (ENI) in El Nido. From Manila, airlines like AirSWIFT offer direct flights. The flight duration is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Fares can vary significantly, but booking in advance can secure better rates, often ranging from PHP 4,000 to PHP 8,000 for a round trip, depending on the season.

Alternatively, you can fly into Puerto Princesa International Airport (PPS), which often has more flight options and potentially lower fares from various cities. From Puerto Princesa, you can take a van or a bus to El Nido town. This land travel takes about 5 to 6 hours and typically costs between PHP 500 to PHP 800 for a one-way ticket. This option is more time-consuming but can be a more budget-friendly choice for some travelers.

For those who enjoy road trips, driving is an option, though it's a very long journey from Manila to El Nido, spanning over 24 hours with ferry crossings or extensive driving through Palawan. This is generally not recommended for most travelers due to the time commitment and road conditions. For most Filipinos, booking a book flight to either Lio or Puerto Princesa is the most practical approach to reaching El Nido.

Best Time to Visit El Nido

The dry season, generally from November to May, is considered the peak tourist season in El Nido. During these months, you can expect sunny skies, calm seas, and ideal conditions for island hopping and other outdoor activities. The weather is consistently pleasant, making it perfect for exploring the lagoons, beaches, and snorkeling spots that El Nido is famous for.

The shoulder months, such as November and May, can offer a good balance of favorable weather and slightly fewer crowds compared to the absolute peak months of December to April. The wet season runs from June to October, during which you might encounter more rainfall and occasional typhoons. While prices might be lower during this period, outdoor activities could be subject to cancellations due to weather conditions. For the most reliable weather, aim for the dry season.

Food and Dining Near El Nido — What Filipino Travelers Must Try

Filipino cuisine is diverse and delicious, and El Nido offers a chance to savor regional specialties alongside national favorites. When in El Nido, be sure to try fresh seafood, which is abundant in Palawan. Grilled fish, squid, and prawns are common and prepared simply to highlight their natural flavors. Look for dishes like *Sinigang na Isda* (sour fish soup) or *Kinilaw* (Filipino ceviche) for a taste of local preparation.

Another must-try is *Adobo*, the Philippines' unofficial national dish. While variations exist across regions, El Nido restaurants often serve chicken or pork adobo, braised in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and peppercorns. It's a comforting and flavorful dish that represents Filipino home cooking. Many local eateries and even some resorts offer this staple.

Don't leave El Nido without sampling *La Paz Batchoy*, a hearty noodle soup originating from Iloilo but popular nationwide. It typically contains pork, shrimp, and vegetables in a rich broth, topped with crispy garlic and chicharon. For a sweet treat, try *Halo-Halo*, a popular Filipino dessert made with shaved ice, milk, sweet beans, fruits, jellies, and topped with leche flan and ube ice cream. It's the perfect refreshment after a day under the sun.

Local Culture, Safety Tips, and Essential Apps for El Nido

While in El Nido, showing respect for elders and local traditions is appreciated. Traveler beware, with this hotel the staff will adhere to all hotel policies and enforce them. The staff leave no leeway for an early morning check-in when your flight arrives early 0630 into El Nido and you arrive at 0715 at the hotel. They will not accommodate you for breakfast when you arrive on the day of your arrival. Little to no water pressure and do not expect hot water. The staff did try to rectify and put us into a different room when our door knob seized shut and we were unable to get out of our room. Enough of the cons, Rashal does provide admirable service within the guidelines of hotel policy. Breakfast is great, coffee not so good. Eggs to order with a minimal up charge. Expect a traditional Pinoy Breakfast. Lower your expectations and you will have a great time at this hotel.

We got the deluxe room with balcony sea view. Room was still new. Price of the rooom is quite expensive for the hotel. We paid about $85 for a 1 star hootel. Food was very bad! They gave us 1 pc of longganisa( like a hotdog) about 2 inches long and a rice. I feel bad for the people who stayed there. I was with my sales team and we all had same complaint. The worth of food was maybe $.50 they need to improve their breakfast or better not to give to people. We feel very bad for the food. We would rAther pay brefaat instead of getting the free breakfast. Price is n the hotel is expensive.

Marimegmeg beach on melko lähellä.

Quiet place as it is away from the town center. If you enjoy any of the El Nido Tour A, B, C or D, you can waded on the low tide beach to the tour boat. Can see the beautiful sunset from my beach room.

Huoneesta löytyi käsisaippuat, muut aineet täytyy olla mukana. Hotellissa pieni uima-allas. Tekstiilit siistit, yleisilme siisti. Aamiainen ilmainen, mutta heikko klo 7-9. Esim. Juomana ainoastaan musta kahvi ja vesi. Muusta täytyy erikseen maksaa. Henkilökunta erittäin ystävällistä. Tapaturmia kävi omalla matkallani, henkilökunta vei omalla autollaan sairaalaan (ilmaiseksi) ja keittiöstä valmistettiin ilmaiseksi ystävälleni ruoka mikä sopii kun ruokamyrkytys yllä. Hotellin sijainti ja palvelu tuovat kokonaisuudeksi viisi tähteä.
