Great ambience, great food and great view of the sea.
We enjoyed our stay in La Union because of La Roca Villa Resort Hotel. Staffs are friendly, the place is homie and very convenient for all things we need during our stay. I highly recommend this Hotel.

If you’re into relaxing, this hotel is suited for you! Guests are controlled so you’ll don't have to worry that it may get crowded during your stay. The whole building provides a feel of old vigan with it's Mediterranean style. Rooms have an overlooking view of the beachfront and it's just a minute walk away. They also have pools, though the other one is too deep. 😅 We indeed had a great stay! Will def book again.
perfect place to relax... super very friendly staffs... 😍😍😍 highly recommended!
- Backpacking
Pros: - walking distance to San Juan’s hip area - distant enough to have privacy - clean room, good air conditioning, and wide bathroom - no corkage fee - owner, receptionist, and staff are kind Cons: - doesn’t offer free meal (you won’t really have to worry since famous food hubs are just 3-5 minutes walk) - key deposit of P500 upon check in (which you can get back without fuss upon check out) - not soundproof rooms (few loud occupants can’t be help especially during night time but noise only lasted an hour or so) I can’t express enough how this place feels so homey. We spent 3 days and 2 nights in here and I didn’t feel the least bit uncomfortable. After going around the hip places in San Juan, walking back to the resorts feels like walking back to your own home. I love the santorini inspired exterior and the humble and kind owner who even taught us to play sungka! I specially love the hidden nook and cranies, sitting areas, and view decks, where you can have the place on your own. A few steps from the pool is the beach where you can watch the sunset until the sky fades. There is something poetic about the place, not like those commercialized resorts around the area. You’ll love it with your friends, family, and the best place to stay when travelling alone.
- Romantic Vacation
My girlfriend and I stayed here for the weekend and it was a really satisfying vacation. We booked the budget room and it was surprisingly big enough for the two of us; the bed was spacious, the bathroom was nice and the air conditioner was comfortable enough. It was also quiet and peaceful inside the resort area. The pool was okay, we just had an issue that it was just divided into a 3-ft kiddie pool and a 7-ft adult pool; we kind of hoped there was space for 5-ft or so, as we're not confident swimmers. We just wished free breakfast was included in the accommodation, but it's just a small issue. The area of the resort is a bit far from the more populated beach area, if you want a quiet time by the beach, it's perfect. However, if you want to take a dip on the cleaner beach with bigger waves and a lot more people around, you'd have to walk a few hundred meters away from the beachfront. Overall it was a comfortable, relaxing stay and I would recommend it to those looking for a good resort at a mid-level budget.
- Romantic Vacation
The hotel staff are nice but the hotel room itself was a little underwhelming. It didn't have a TV nor a refrigerator and wifi was not working. It was hard to get access to the outside world hence we were forced to go out most of the time. They should really improve the amenities of the room. Location was good though.
- Romantic Vacation
Has potential. Great amenities and location. Customer service could be improved. We booked a standard room for two. Upon arriving, we were informed we got upgraded to an ocean view room at no extra charge (cost 50%more than what we paid for). We wanted to stay an extra day. Receptionist informed us an a budget room was available. At check out time we readied our things to transfer to a diff room when receptionist told us they'd give us the budget room rate but we could continue to stay at the ocean view room (this time cost 60% more than what we paid for). Overall we got to stay 2 nights in the ocean view room at the cost of one night! We're guessing it was just a stroke of luck. Point-for-point review: Pros: - location: good. Beach front is on the left side of urbiztondo. Not many people hang out on this side. You can walk along the beach if you want to go to flotsam, makai bowls, el union café (15mins). If you hate staying where hordes of people hang out (me) this is ideal. - room: clean. Hot and cold shower. Two tables in the room. You can place your clothes on a rack with hangers. - additional hangout space. Each room has a table and 2 chairs along the hallway (outside of room) where guests can hangout, smoke, etc. W an open view of the beach and resort. - resort has a pool. Very few resorts in lu has a pool. Its clean and you can swim til late (8pm) - staff. During our stay the manager was very accommodating, reception as well. Liv the female receptionist especially. (thank you!) didn't get a chance to eat at their restaurant. They make brick oven pizzas though. - areas to chill. Lot of open space to hangout around the resort. - common sense. They strategically place faucets in areas convenient for washing (sandy feet), small canals along the resort to keep puddles from forming. - drinking water is free and available at all floors. This though. Lesser expenses, lesser plastic bottles purchased. Win! - and they have cute dogs at the resort. Cons - no telephone inside the rooms. If you need something you have to go downstairs to receptionist. - receptionist isn't always around. Which doesn't make sense. Receptionist hours: 8am-8pm. Careful if your fond of key drops. If you go home by 11pm = no key. - for some odd reason everyone seems to dislike the owner. We did not get a chance to transact much with her seeing as the manager was around for most of our stay. Employees demeanor is often a reflection of how they feel about management. Walls have ears too. - no cashless transactions. Their card terminals were down during our whole stay. Saw reviews by other guests too at different months this year. - no option for breakfast inclusion. Good be additional revenue for them
