Love the place "A place you can call Home""
Wood interior design, friendly caretaker. We call them a place of paradise because of the perfect place to rest outside the noisy city. They have the balcony where you can see the good view and the perfect view of sunset.😊❤️

Mapiyaaw Sagada's Private Get Away
Stayed for 3 days in middle of the rainy season. After been to Sagada for the second time, I tried to stay away from the busy buzling central to find more tranquility and one in nature. While sending "Send to All" sms to all hotels in Sagada, Mapiya-aw Pension replied first amongst the rest. Thus became my first choice. Care taker and owner whom I refer to as "Auntie" kept me updated of Itinerary. The day arrived off peak season but seems she's at the peak of her smiles when she greeted us upon our arrival. Friendly and welcoming Auntie immediately offered us Lunch. Tired of the travel I asked if I can use her kitchen for home cooked meal. She happily agreed ;) I helped myself into her homey kitchen and mingle with her lovely family. Yes you can hangout into their cozy dining area big to accomodate a very large number of guest. The rooms are homey with the nicest view of the valley. I originally though I would only see stone formations in Coron Palawan but hey I found the same rock formations outside the balcony almost kissing my cheecks. Hardwood floor spacious hangout area and 3 chimney. Wohoooo yes 3 of them where u can roast mallows and sip hot tea ;) We roam around like we own the place, secure and safe we didn't even lock the doors. For active couples like me and hubby we enjoyed a decent walk to and fro Mapiya-aw. Tucked near a small street adorned with thick pines and wild flowers blooming endlessly. Plus it's close to small chapel and other attractions like a small falls and kiltepan peak. Auntie let's us tour the entire house 2nd floor, 3rd and 4th. She even knows our tour guide. Lending us umbrellas and other utensils we needed. I'm a home cook myself and she welcomes me openly in her kitchen which I loved the most. Very friendly and caring Auntie is the best. Her family too whom also taking care of the Pension house treated us like family. Plus thier rates is a good value for money.

Quiet and quaint Pension House
You will enjoy staying in this place if you are looking for a quiet place to stay and to feel the weather and laid back life in Sagada. Near to the market and the Tourist information center where most activities start with as guides are required in most all of the tours. You may also opt to buy fresh food and cook in the kitchen. The owners were kind enough to share with us some dining plates and utensils. There is also a place to hang out for talks at the fire place in the living room or outside at the frontyard.

Quaint pension house.
It is a bit far from the town proper, but the place was definitely roomy. It does get really cold at night, but you can light a fire by the fireplace. A fee of P100 per 6 firewood is needed, but it does the job. There's a common restroom per floor, while some rooms have a shared bathroom. There's a water heater available, but it takes a while before it is able to heat the water in the bucket. The bathroom on the second floor has a shower with a heater. If you have kids, they have puzzles by the dining hall that they can use. The innkeepers were very nice. If you're going to Mt. Kiltepan, there's a shortcut from the pension house to it. Ask the innkeepers about it. They said that the normal route from the main road would take 30-45 minutes to walk, while it'll only take 15-20 minutes with the shortcut.

Great service and good value for money.
We will never forget the hospitality of the family managing this place. Our family had a warm fire by the fireplace every night and all our requests, including having food cooked (paluto) were granted to the best of their abilities. It is very far from the town proper and you need a car to stay here especially if you have children with you (we brought our toddler). But it was very quiet and peaceful.
