Simple, efficient,no more no less
Wifi is fast, rooms are nice and tidy, aircons are working fine and there's a massaging chair at the hallway, breakfast is simple and light. BUT I advise future travelers to NOT BRING ANY WHITE TOWELS. Since the management provides white towels as well(with no label), a mixup with your white towels and theirs is bound to happen.

Bonding with my sister and our kids
My sister and her kids with my daughter stayed for a night in this hotel when we went to Vigan last April 22, 2017 to visit relatives. We occupied room Libros and it is good for maximum of seven people. The room was at the 2nd floor and really quiet once you are in your room. There were one king size bed that can hold 3 people and one queen bed plus 2 pull outs. It was a big room and we have quite an space for our stuff and to move around. The staff were courteous and helpful when asked about stuff in the city and which place to try to eat. Since we have been to Vigan several times in the past already we just enjoyed staying in our room with the A/C in full blast all day long because of the intense heat outside. The only thing we noticed in our room was the door has open spaces in between causing the cold air from A/C to hold coldness in the room. Breakfast was included in our room accommodation package which is consist of rice, choice of longganisa, tocino or daing na bangs and overflowing brewed coffee. Breakfast was served in the dining hall with three big tables and can accommodate several groups of people when eating at the same time. Hotel is also situated on inner street of Crisologo but walking distance to all nice eateries in the area e.g. Cafe Leona, Max's, Inasal, Nanang Sion, etc. I recommend this hotel for families and groups who wish to stay in the main town proper but away from all those noises and busyness of tourist in-flow.

Good and Bad
This is the first hotel in Vigan I stayed at so I can't compare it with others. GOOD: What I liked about MVH Hotel is that they were very responsive when I texted we were going to check in late because we were coming from Pagudpud and there were a series of processions on the way because it was Good Friday. Also, the rest of my family enjoyed the unlimited and wide selection of breakfast for omnivores. As for me, a vegetarian, I'm thankful they served cucumber, tomatoes and watermelon. NOT SO GOOD: My family stayed at MVH Hotel last Good Friday and unfortunately they didn't have any staff (they were on leave apparently) to assist us. In fact after giving us the key they didn't say where our room was until we reached the second floor carrying all our bags. Turns out, we were to stay in the ground floor. Worse, despite the fact I booked a room one month in advance, they gave us a room similar to the servants' quarters - it was IN the parking area! There was no cellphone signal or Wi-Fi in our room that I had to go to the lobby.

Great Filipino / Spanish Hotel experience
The house is very Filipino and Spanish. It is very convenient to stay. The place is quiet. The rooms are spacious. I am not sure how fast their wifi is because we didn't use it. The data signal in the place and even in the rooms are really good. There is a parking space as well. Just make sure you always close the rooms because there are mosquitoes in the area. The place itself is like a museum of the heritage in the area. the furnitures are antiques. The house itself is a very good spanish experience. I will definitely return here. The staff are very friendly. They always smile at you. The CRs are clean. They have bidet. Water flow is ok. Aircon is very good. The only negative feedback I can give is that there is no vinegar in the table during breakfast. We keep on asking for it and it takes a while before they bring one. The cable TV is also quite static which is not really a big issue for me but for business people who still need to watch the news, it could be an issue.

Colonial feel
A nice old colonial building Beautiful authentic with autenthic furniture ideally situated in the heart of the heritage zone Just a few negative points that owners should take care off. Some negligence in service - shower not really clean - warm water available only after that we mentioned it and after maintenance cale in - room maintenance bed and bathroom had been forgotten and was done after we mentioned it Other points to improve - no direct light in the room although there are 2 windows -concerning decoration: what a pity to cover the authentic wooden floors with a thick carpet - isolation poor for noise from the street and the breakfast room being close to the rooms but this is for sure a part of the charm of the old house - the breakfast was really very very poor and half of the proposed ingredients were not available. At the end the proposed continental and american breakfast were exactly the same. So even if it was included we decided to take it outside
