Nice resort vicinity but disappointing room
We had La Abella twin room which is good for 2 persons. Pros + food in the restaurant is delicious, has a relaxing beachfront restaurant + beachfront, beach chairs are provided + nice staff (you can ask them to call you a tricycle when you want to go downtown) + has pool Cons - WEAK WiFi inside the room - food in the restaurant is expensive - free breakfast is just composed of bread, eggs, jam (big turn-off in the morning when you wake up. I hope they add Asian breakfast since most of the guests are Filipinos) - location of our room in the vicinity. The pool is in front of our room (La Abella). Noises of people swimming in the pool in the afternoon until evening can be heard. - Old A/C (it is manually set. However, the room was small so it was not exhausting for the A/C to cool the area) - Toilet cover is broken, bathroom and sink are inconveniently small Others * Our room and bed are small but I think this is sufficient for Asian girls like us. There was enough space for our luggage. Although, I don't recommend it for those with big built. * The beachfront does not a have white fine sand. * We have met a family in the resort. They were staying in one of the villas and seem satisfied with their room. I think villa rooms have kitchen supplies. We stayed 2 nights. The vicinity was really nice but our room disappointed me from our very first day.

"Superb"
Panglao Tropical Villas is the best tropical destination. Staffs are accommodating. They offered tours with great value of money. What we love the most are the garden and the pool. The villa is enough for a group of 10 people,it feels like home with the kitchen and balcony with pool view. We really enjoyed staying for 5 days and 4 nights, and we'll definitely come back.

Great Place to Stay
We came to visit Panglao ,Bohol with family in mid March.Recommended from a friend who also stayed at this place we booked the place for 1 week at Villa Vidas. Our kids ages 9,7 & 4 were having a blast. This place is spectacular!!!..The pool is right outside Villa Vidas and it made it so much fun for the kids.We love the landscaping its clean and green. The Villa is very clean and all nicely furnished. The beach is so clean and refined white sand..All the staff were very friendly and accomodating. It shows that they are well trained with good costumer service.Jona and Christine helped us arranged our tours. If we decide to have a vacation again in Bohol we will definitely stay at Panglao Tropical Villas again and maybe try their Villa Kiam.

Nice from the outside
We stayed here for four days and were impressed of the very nice styled garden and pool and the clean beachfront. But this is all what was positiv. Our room in the house sophia was in a very unfriendly condition. The airconditioner is very loud and was fixed with with taping ribbons to not fall down in the bed. The toilet frame was not fixed, so you always move from one to the other side. The lamp in the bathroom is a simple bulb with open contacts. The beds are moving when you are moving. Threre is a smell of urine in the room that you cannot bring away. At night you can do rat-watching. Finaly they purchased us more than that what was said with the booking. They have their own changing rates... The beach is full of boats from the resorts around. The water is very flat, not possible to swim.

Basic Accommodations
We stayed here for 7 nights (Mar. 2 - 9, 2017) with friends. It was adequate, but not what I would call a "resort." Our room was on the 2nd floor of the La Sophia building, room 2. Our friends were first in a room across the way from us, but they had to be moved because the electricity kept shutting off. All the rooms we saw had a futon type bed, a TV, and basic bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the room served its purpose. For showering and sleeping, it was fine, but left some things to be desired. First, the shower was antiquated. Also, the entire bathroom is made from tile with a raised lip around the shower. If you need to get up in the middle of the night to use the toilet, beware of that raised lip--it could easily break a toe! My husband banged his into it the first day and nursed a sore toe the rest of our stay. Then there are the roosters that start crowing about 4 a.m. The A/C doesn't drown out their noise nor are the rooms insulated against the daily smoke from the trash fires next door. So, the smell of smoke greeted us each day as well. In addition, there is a diving resort next door and the staff cart air tanks to and from the boats each evening, banging them as they go. Not horrendous noise, but you can't ignore it. Breakfast was very basic--eggs prepared as you like, toast, fruit, juice, coffee/tea. The beach here is not one for swimming--you're better off in Alona Beach which has several great spots for swimming. The one at Panglao is very smelly when the tide is out. The pool, however, is very nice. Overall, if we were to stay here again, we would stay in one of the villas that accommodate up to 10 people. They looked less rustic and had nicer appointments. Not sure if they had A/C, though, as each time we saw people in them they had all the doors and windows open. Mosquitoes love this place, so bring bug spray. To get to Alona Beach, the main area for restaurants, shopping, resorts, tours, you need to take a tricycle (cheap--about 150 PP each way--$3.00). Not a big deal, but it you want to be where the action is, stay there. It attracts a younger crowd, too.
