Better luck next time!
We were in Boracay for the Labor Day weekend and as expected, all hotels are either fully booked or prices are way up high. Luckily we got to book in Panorama resort which is our second place to stay for that weekend. We got room 1 (I think), on the ground floor and the bathroom was huge (with hot shower) though the plug of the television of the lobby goes in the bathroom and there's like a tiny window so you can hear people outside. The beds are okay, not really comfortable. Location wise, it's okay as well - near D'Mall and the beachfront (about 3 minutes walk in the darkness during at night) and near Crafts (tricycle area) about 1.5-2 minutes away. Nevertheless, lesson learned to book 4-6 months advance for labor day weekend.

Nothing fancy
The place has decent rooms, friendly staff and somewhat easy access both to the beach (boat station 2 and d'mall) and the highway. The breakfast (with very minimum choices) near the beach front was a plus. The picture on the web had impressed us but the actual ambiance is disappointing. The current constructions on going within the vicinity makes it hard to go out and back to the hotel. There was no housekeeping. You have to tell them to clean the rooms. No wifi inside the room but there is a common area to hangout that has wifi and were you can refill your water bottles for free. Kudos to the hotel staff who helped us with some of the tour and activity bookings at very good rates. Overall it is like a boarding house (budget friendly) than a standard hotel.

Very disappointing
I really do not understand where all the good/decent reviews about this place are coming from. It is definitely NOT good value for money and you can find a much nicer place in Boracay for the same rate per night. We have arrived to Panorama resort in Boracay on December 23rd and were supposed to stay there for five nights. Since we knew this is only a guesthouse, we did not have high expectations, nevertheless the whole experience was still very disappointing. The room we were given was big and comfortable but facilities were not in a great condition. the shower holder was broken, parts of towel hanger were falling off and light switch was sticking out of the wall with parts of plastic falling off at one point when I tried to turn the light off. Curtains were very thin and let the light through from the veranda during the night and in the morning. Light switch to the room was outside on the veranda so if someone is passing by your room and hits the wrong switch, they will turn the light on in your room. On our first night, the electricity went off for several hours and it seems like the hotel was not prepared for this. Only after waking up in boiling temperature and near to suffocating, I had to go down to the reception and ask the staff member to turn the power generator on. Even though they did, it did not power air conditioning system, leaving us on mercy of a fan. After about an hour the generator turned off again, leaving us sweaty and unable to sleep. Every morning we were being woken up by noisy locals and their kids shouting from 8am onward. Road from the hotel to the beach was in terrible condition. Dark, leading through a construction site, with puddles, low hanging cables and smell of urine. On Christmas Day, we woke up to a noise from a construction going on just outside our window. We were informed that it was emergency work at the resort next door. At this point we decided it's far too much and we moved out the same day. Bear in mind that I am not the kind of a person who complains a lot and changes hotels frequently, this was probably the first time it happened during my travels. To sum up, this was the worst hotel we stayed at during our 3 weeks trip around Philippines. It is definitely not worth the price and experience. For similar rate, you can find much better deal, even at peak times. On the 25th December we move to a new hotel, which cost us only PHP400 more per night but was much much better (clean, modern, all in good condition, we also got a quiet room), and we really enjoyed our stay there. Even if you are on a budget, you can find much nicer place than Panorama resort. If you want to party throughout the night, which many people coming to Boracay do, bear in mind that sleeping in Panorama after 8 am is impossible due to noise (and I use earplugs, which at this occasion didn't even help!) Breakfast was included and served in a nice restaurant by the beach but was very basic. On the third day (just before moving out) we went somewhere else. Noise indeed was an issue but we also noticed that there is a lot of construction happening on the whole island, so if you stay in a budget place, it's up to your luck if you get a quiet room or not. Also, water pressure is a problem on the island, we experienced low water pressure at both hotels. I would not recommend anyone to stay at Panorama Resort in Boracay.

We could have done better
Yes I admit, it's a very cheap hotel as it's not Beachfront, but it's a short 3 minute walk away from the beach in station 2. The thing is, getting there is kind of sketchy! You have to walk through an alley and there are no lights so imagine walking through it at night while you're tipsy! The rooms weren't comfortable at all! The bed felt as if it had a hole in the middle. Our air conditioner was really weak so we had the fan on at the same time! The bathroom was also pretty disgusting. I mean the shower head didn't even work, so we had to use the small faucet to shower. Overall, if you can spend an extra thousand on another hotel, do so because this is a hotel that I would never go back to.

Good Location, Worth the Money, Good Attitude
We stayed at Bulabog Beach before moving to Station 2. Emma was good enough to send 2 young guys to fetch us and carry the luggage. They didn't ask for tips too (we gave before leaving anyway). The room is not too luxury but it has everything it should have. From my personal point of view, it's much better than our accommodation at Bulabog Beach, which is about 40% more expensive. Staff is friendly. Free breakfast is not too special but it fills your stomach. Location is good as it's near to the beach. Highly recommended! Prior to arrival, I wrote to ask if they provide hair-dryer. They didn't. Without further request, they emailed me: "Finally I was able to search for a hairdryer to buy here in the Island, so yes, we can lend you one." I'm impressed with their good attitude. They recognize what is insufficient and so willing to improve.
