Inability to Accommodate guest is not customer's fault
There are some good reviews, and it made me to go there for lunch with great look out view. It is busy season. I understand that. However just because it is busy season doesn't mean you can your customer to eat somewhere else. I went there with my group of friends. I made reservation at 9 in the morning to insure my seat at the restaurant. When I got there at 12pm on time for my promise time they told us to seat next to a gigantic speaker with live musician playing just inches away from us. I have been to live music restaurants before. But trust me... it was so close I can put my food plate on musicians piano if I wanted. I strongly disagreed to seat there and demanded another seat. But the staff were giving me this..."Just seat your god damn table where we told you to" and told us in anger.. "we are busy if you want..go eat outside" pretty much telling us to leave. I told them at least you could have informed us about the seat when I text them to reserve. They even replied in text! So its not like they don't have my local number to tell. Because its not just us who would not wanting to seat next to a speaker with loud live music happening just inches away later when we sat at the new table there people who disagreeing to take a seat there too! Also people come here to eat with nice view not to be next to a speaker with loud music. They clearly don't understand the real purpose of people visiting their restaurant. They didn't have much to say and arranged us to different table. But from there.. we were their enemy for the rest of the stay. They just have the look on their face. Anger. Next to our new table there is a tower of plates with left over food and flies are having a great party. While I wait for the food I had a look around of what is happening. There were nearly 25 people eating at the time and more coming. There were 6 staff serving (excluding the people making food ) From then I realized that the lack of staff is clear. I understand they are upset and tired due to the busy season trying to do their job with few staff members. But was it us (Guest) fault for inability to accommodate guest? I came here in peace. And I get told to go eat somewhere else after clearly making mistake to serve us. For me. This was one of the worst customer service restaurant I ever seen in entire Cebu. Even Joliebee has better customer service and Jolliebee doesn't cost as much as this restaurant. If the staff cannot control their anger just because they are "busy" they are unprofessional. Inability to handle busy season is also lack of professionalism. Don't get mad at the customers who make reasonable request.

No welcome drinks
While the landscaping of this establishment is pleasant and the pool looks inviting, I was super unimpressed upon arrival at Bodos Bamboo Bar upon paying to be informed that there were no welcome drinks. The female staff member had an 'I couldn't care less' attitude about her.

Expectations not met
Foremost, the title is a bit harsh. But I guess, truth hurts. From the hotel's website, they were boasting about themselves being the "Number One in Cebu South". I expected a lot, of course. On pros - the views is nice especially when viewing sunsets interest you. The landscaping of the place is also well-maintained. Rooms are just good for two people, at least where I stayed. Beds are just okay. The airconditioner functions well, too. If you would get so critical about their branding in terms of being a "bamboo bar", then it was achieved. The furnitures inside their rooms are all made of bamboo. On cons - my expectations were not met because of the staff and some things. First, we inquired if there are available welcome drinks and the staff member was not able to answer politely. Second, while we were sleeping, there was someone who knocked on our door and it woke me up. I called the reception right away to repor this incident. Very impolite. Why would you knock on someone else's door if you know there were people inside? Also, their television set is a bit old. I even expected that they have mini-flat screens because of their tagging. Third, food is pricey. We ordered iced tea since there were no welcome drinks offered. The iced tea was not authentic at all. I even saw one of the staff members brought the iced tea in sachet to the reception area. Fourth, it took us a while to connect to their Wi-Fi connection. It was evening already, and the receptionist even told me that she doesnt know how to set it up because the guy who knows it already went home. Sucks, right? So I had to wait for her to call the guy. BUT FORTUNATELY, I was able to connect to their Wi-Fi by just exploring it on my own (right before the guy picked up the phone). Fifth, my uncle paid for thousands but the hotel doesn't offer free breakfast? How unfortunate. The hotel's location is a bit far from other restaurants. These should be considered by the administration. Rating this place 2 out of 5 because, we, Filipinos, are proud of our hospitality, and this place is not a good venue to exhibit it. Some staff members are impolite and acts incompetent. Also, stayed in another hotel, which offers relatively cheaper food and rooms and was able to met my expectations. I can honestly rate the second hotel where I stayed a 4 out of 5 compared to BBB's.

Nice stay but service need to improve
Recently we stayed in Bodos Bamboo Resort for a week with my fiancee. It was a good experienced from arrival to check out. One thing we are not impressed with the service in the restaurant "slow service" but we don't make a fuss. It doesn't affect us badly yet it can be annoying if you have to clean your own table. Definitely the the staff required training or lack of initiatives. The staff are lovely especially the housekeeping I bow for them. Our room always clean and tidy, great view and love spending my time in the balcony watching the world goes by. The facilities in the room fairly basic but we are more interested with outdoor activities and sunbathing so hardly spend time indoor unless we need rest. The hotel itself well maintained including the pool.
