Incompetent owner
I tried to make a booking here for our wedding party to stay as we were getting married on Cebu. Big mistake... The owner (Andy) got abusive with me because I replied to his messages the following day. I explained there was a time difference as I’m in Australia not to mention I sent my enquiries before I went to bed. He said I was rude and he didn’t want to deal with “someone like me”... He also thought that wedding party meant I wanted to have a party at his property. I tried to explain that wedding party meant bride and groom, bestman and his wife, 2 x groomsmen and there wives as well as other family members. This owner is out of control and very rude. He also sent me abusive messages on my Facebook account. This went on for 12 straight hours and continues as I write this review. He then sends me racist memes about Australia. This guy clearly has some issues that need addressing. I’ll include some screenshots of his abuse.

I just checked the place and price
It is in a back alley away from the beach. Prices are around 3000 pesos per night. Pool is a plus but staff are not trained and don't know how to talk properly with the customers. So I decided to go and check other places.

Friendly and clean
This B&B looks exactly like the pictures, and we had a good stay here. The cloth providing shade over the pool is a nice touch. The rooms are clean. The staff is very friendly and we got a lift out to the main road in Moalboal when we had a really early morning bus to catch. I have two complaints though, which made this an ok stay instead of a great one. 1. This place is a 10 minute walk from the ocean and not 5 as advised on the homepage. Not a huge discrepancy but we noticed. 2. The parrots are extremely under stimulated. There is nothing for them to do all day, and we felt really sorry for them. Also, bring earplugs!

Great Find!
I'm not one to write a review, however I felt I needed to for this resort. I booked a room nearby which I won't go into. Let's just say we jumped back online to look for another room. That's when we found the parrot resort. The whole experience from start to finish was amazing! Great room Great pool Great pool bar Great games room Great service Great air con Great mini bar with cheap prices Great local knowledge Was able to book day trips for us and beat prices we received elsewhere It felt more like a home stay and we felt welcomed. We also had some laundry done at the resort where they found 800 peso which was retuned to us! I don't know about you but when I do laundry at home and find money it's finders keepers. But that just proves the type of service you can expect. We will be back next year. And I've also told friends to book here when they come 👌

A small redeeming quality of moalboal
This hotel was a breath of fresh air during our stay in Moalboal because, to put it politely, the rest of Moalboal is a dump. The hotel itself was the only place I felt clean and safe. I hated every minute of my stay in Moalboal. It's dirty, there's nowhere decent to eat except a French Cafe on the "beach" - if you can call it that. Like I said, this hotel was a breath of fresh air in terms of the comfort that was needed whilst in Moalboal but if you want my honest opinion - don't go to Moalboal. Go elsewhere. Unless you're happy to see rabid dogs with half their skin missing, children pooing in the field outside the hotel, dilapidated and dirty shacks they call restaurants then go elsewhere.
