Best hotel in Moalboal
Travel as a couple - spent 5 days at this property. Hands down one of the top hotels in Cebu and the best in Moalboal. Their prices are amazing, they have a really nice breakfast and their attention to detail is perfect. All of the staff are very professional - from the receptionist, to managers to cleaning crews to security, you will always be taken care of and be treated very well at all time. The pool is actually very nice, as its situated as to make it align with the ocean (about 40 meters max distance away), giving it an infinity effect. Every morning they clean the pool, and sometimes throughout the day or evening if it is windy or a storm passes through (I witnessed them cleaning at least once a day). the rooms are SUPER CLEAN, very spacious, beds and pillows are comfortable, good hot water in showers and bathrooms are spacious as well. They also offer free snorkeling gear, life vests, etc., so you don't have to pay for rental equipment if you want to go snorkeling or swim in the ocean, which is just right outside the hotel a few feet. They also have a game center with pool tables, nice relaxing chairs and two video games upstairs, and other than a roof and overhang, the sides are open so you can relax while being outdoors. Plenty of sunbathing chairs as well outside. Getting there: Take the bus from wherever you are at, its cheaper and just as fast as anything else. Once in Moalboal, get off at the main stop (the second stop once in Moalboal if coming from Cebu City or Carcar). From there, its a 150P tricycle ride (never pay more than this as its the standard rate) to where all properties are (unless you are staying up by white sand beach). Basically from The Pescadores hotel, extending about 3/4 - 1 mile north are all hotels and restaurants next to each other (think Miami Beach). You will have more choices of places to eat than you will be able to go to while there. basically all prices for the same type of meal are generally the same, so Chicken Adobo at one place will be about the same as the next. Many restaurants offer European or other nationality foods, so not all are exclusively Filipino food. Tons of bars/pubs and diving centers, tour operators, etc.. again, all the same price. If you want to schedule whale shark trips or Kawasaki Falls, this hotel can arrange it no problem. You can also go on your own, just take a tricycle from the hotel (they use only reputable drivers that won;t scam you) to the bus stop in Moalboal, then a bus to Kawasaki falls, or rent a Tricycle to take you back and forth - actually the best recommendation. I also recommend using a Tricycle driver by the name of Dindo - ask for him or just call him at +63-935-503-0564 and tell him Aaron gave you his number. Again, this place books fast, nice clean comfortable rooms, hot water, great air-conditioning and customer service that is the best!
