Pitcher Plant Farm

The Pitcher Plant Farm is a unique resort that doubles as a herbarium and offers breathtaking views of the mountains of Malaybalay. The main attractions are some of the most fascinating and rare carnivorous plants on the planet.

Tastefully furnished with a rustic charm, guests are entertained by a broad range of recreational activities in a spartan, mountain setting. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views from the balcony and large windows.

Nature enthusiasts should try to visit Watchtower 1, a six kilometer trail to the top of a 1030 meter mountain with spectacular views of Bukidnon. They can also head to Twin Falls or Mount Dulang Dulang. There are also less challenging trails such as hiking to the Canayan Swimming pool or the waterfalls at Impalutao.

There are also other thrilling activities such as ziplining 830 meters into the valley. There is white water rafting in the upper Cagayan River, Zorb Ball, as well as bungee jumping. City tours can also be arranged.

There are other things to do for nature lovers who prefer more sedate activities. Guests can bird watch on their balcony or watch butterflies behind the farm. Horse riding lessons are also available. They can also warm up in the Kawa Hot Tubs.

The Pitcher Plant Farm is solar-powered and has three non air-conditioned rooms with private bath with showers.

The nearest airport to the Pitcher Plant Farm is the Lumbia Airport in Cagayan de Oro City. Guests coming from there will need to go on a car ride that takes two hours and 29 minutes.
