Beautiful location
Lovely place Traditional cottages and inside very comfy No air con in the one we had, but the ceiling fan helped We stayed here for 3 nights due to a mess up by one of Coron dive shops so we came here for DDivers dive shop and they were amazing Food was nice but many time you spend time looking at many, just to be told they run out Most times alternatives available, but then location is quite remote and that's somehow to be expected We enjoyed the Hammock outside the cottage and the beautiful sunset There is a swimming pool but not much in use as this is primarily a divers hotel so you go out at sea Service for food slow, but not worse than other places It all depends on expectations- if you want a 5* resort with gun and all facilities don't come here If you want awesome diving on your doorsteps and a clean and friendly place to crash and you are not too fussy foodwise this is a great location for that Thank you for your service

We stayed here for 5 nights in June 2017. The resort is beautifully positioned over the bay with spectacular views, has so much potential and could be really good but.... I'm going to be completely honestly.... There are some serious management issues here and the resort is hugely overpriced for the service and facilities provided. The pool was unusable for the duration of our stay. It was green and slimy and never cleaned through out our stay. Rooms are not sealed and are therefore full of mosquitoes and ever other crawling or flying bug imaginable. Our room was alive one night when it rained - centipedes, spiders, wasps , flying ants , mosquitoes, etc, etc, etc ..... The overhead fans either don't work at all or move no air at all. Pedestal fans are sometimes available but provide very little comfort through the airtight mosquito nets. Lights flicker when turned off , so safer to leave on, and the ceilings leak. There is no shelving where you can unpack and put your clothing. If you leave clothes out overnight they will be covered in Gecko faeces in the morning and the wardrobe is so musty and all your clothes stink. Insect spray is not readily available and only reluctantly given to spray inside the mosquito nets, so take plenty of DEET or expect to be eaten!! There are no twin share rooms. If you're not prepared to share the queen bed they will put a mattress and mosquito net in the pavilion (if you have one), but be aware that the roof leaks and if it rains you will get wet. Wifi is super slow if available at all and the mobile service very patchy. It's only available in the reception area where there is nowhere comfortable to sit, that is, if you can find a seat at all because all the staff are sitting around using their phones. Service in the Restaurant is slow and disorganised and orders often forgotten. We overcame this to some extent by pre-ordering our next meal. Otherwise, expect to wait about an hour for your meal to arrive (maybe). Breakfast was not included and extra charged for tea and coffee. You can't pay your bill with credit card. They will only accept Pay pal and charge 5% for this service, or, cash of any currency but they will only offer you 10% less than the current exchange rate. Service fees and VAT are added to everything. We went across the bay to El Faro one evening by water taxi. GO THERE.Views are even better, staff are helpful and switched on. Wifi readily available even to visitors and the food is excellent. Much cheaper for a much better experience. We travelled with a group and stayed here because of it's location to dive sites. The diving was an adventure on the wrecks in low visibility and current but the wrecks are amazing. The boat used for our trips to the wreck was only barely suitable for our group of 11 and it certainly needs a lot of TLC.

Do not go here.
I am sorry to say, but there isn't much to like here. We are well-travelled and seldom have issues when travelling, but this isn't paradise. For a start, it's overpriced. Most of the rooms are fan-cooled, but don't expect to feel anything from the ceiling fan. The rooms are mosquito infested and I got bit by something that itched for weeks after. The pool was green at first, since it's filled with sea-water. After a day or two, it was drained and left empty for apparently no reason. It took a day to fill. NOT acceptable when you are paying for a pool. Need wifi? Forget it. There is absolutely none. Well, you can just connect to the mobile data, right. Nope. There is none. When it comes to activities, don't expect anything reasonably priced. Everything costs 100% more than it should. I know because I live in the Philippines. The food in the restaurant is not good. Service charge and VAT is added to everything, including the trips and van rental. The resort is fueled by pure greed. Do yourself a favour and go across the bay. Rooms are cheaper. There is Globe wifi. The pool is actually clean. The food is better and cheaper. There is absolutely no reason to go to this resort.

A hidden gem of the Philippines
It was a bit over a month ago since I last visited Coron island for the second time. This time my partner, mother, and I made plans to visit Puerto Del Sol Resort as we heard through friends that it was spectacular place, and we really should make the time to go and visit. So we did. And it was spectacular! Puerto Del Sol had ticked all the boxes. It's really one of the hidden gems of the Philippines, and I will for sure be returning to this place. Our day started with meeting Cory who is the owner of Puerto Del Sol Resort, at her restaurant that she also manages and owns in Coron Town, known as the La Sirenetta. Cory and her staff made us this wonderful breakfast that included, garlic fried rice, chorizo, scrambled eggs, corn beef, and fresh fruits. "Just see the picture below" trust me it was sooo good! After breakfast we then took a van to Puerto Del Sol. It's about a 40min trip. You can also do this very easily on a motorbike. Once we got there Cory had arranged a boat to travel around the bay. We stopped at few places on other sides of the bay. The view from each angle was serene. By lunch time we travelled back to Puerto Del Sol, where we were welcomed by staff who made us our most delicious lunch, topped off with some fresh buko (coconut) juice to quench our thirst as it was a little hot from our journey. We then sat there for while just to admire the beautiful view from the restaurant, it was really peaceful. I truly do recommend this place to everyone who visits Coron Island. If you are looking to venture off to see more of Coron itself, definitely go visit Cory and her wonderful staff at both Puerto Del Sol Resort, and La Sirenetta. You truely won't be disappointed.

Paradise of Excuses
We stayed here for 9 days and left disappointed. The staff are very friendly but the lack of a normal pool (sea water green isn't inviting), flickering strobe lights (off) in the bedroom, aircon that frequently shuts off/on, no cold beer or mugs, and being charged for transport to the resort on arrival without prior notification makes this a paradise needing someone to take accountability and professionalism. At every turn you'd hear an excuses like incorrect orders from the restaurant or a simple request to fix a fault. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a tirade! This resort has a remarkable view and the potential to be a paradise resort but they need to lessen the excuses and make deliverables on anemities/service. Sorry Myra.
