The Puraran Surf Beach Resort is a beachfront property located along the sandy shores of Baras, Catanduanes. With just a few cottages available along the serene beach, the resort is an intimate and quiet escape where guests can enjoy the surf, sand, and wonders of nature with no distractions.
The resort has a total of six nipa hut-style cottages as well as a dorm-style surf house for backpackers and budget travelers. Of the six cottages, only two feature a television with cable channels. All feature an attached private bathroom with a hot and cold shower and complete bath amenities as well as a private balcony with outdoor furniture. The dorm is shared between 15 guests and features a common kitchen and pantry area, communal bathrooms, and a large balcony with views of the surf. WiFi is accessible in select public areas throughout the property and comes with minimal fees. Pets are allowed upon prior request.
The resort’s in-house restaurant has a menu that changes daily depending on the fresh catch of the day. Popular menu items include grilled liempo, grilled blue marlin, and breaded pork chops. Fresh crabs and other shellfish are also available and can be cooked fresh upon order. Guests can also choose to prepare their own meals at the communal kitchen.
During their stay, guests can catch some waves, get some surfing lessons, or simply enjoy the laid back island life. In-room massage services can be requested.
Travelers coming from Virac Airport will only need to take a one hour car ride to get to the town of Puraran. Free parking is available on site.
