Review by Traveloka users

2 Traveloka customers have stayed in this hotel and given reviews:

The hotel staff is commendable. But the hotel itself is average; so much noise even in the middle of the night.
1. Reception desk operation and officer very poor, not friendly. 2. Internet very poor, cannot access. 3. Renovation work very dusty and noisy.

2 Star hotel pretending to be more
The place used to be called Oxford and was taken over by a new owner and changed to Royce. A huge investment was made in my estimation to make the place look swankier, more spacious, modern etc. And along with that new restaurants and casino in the facility. Regrettably they didn't pour enough of said investments towards guest comfort and satisfaction. Believe it or not, our room didn't have hot water. It was barely lukewarm at best after a long wait which was the advice given to us by housekeeping. That was made worse by the AC that is set at its coldest and CANNOT be adjusted. So we just had to turn that off. The bed was comfy enough but pillows were lumpy. The room was already showing signs of wear with peels on some parts, rust in the restroom nooks, shower holder about to fall off, door not closing well, and so forth. Totally unacceptable for the price they charge for this place and wasn't a satisfactory stay for my family at all. Was only too glad to leave.

My Lucky Hotel
I've visited this nice hotel somewhere November 2016 due to a travel expo nearby at Midori Hotel. Lucky since I won 20K in casino by just using 1K worth of money. Breakfast's spread is very good, more of a filipino dishes which I loved. The facade have good lighting to see it well specially at night

Not worth the money we paid for.
Check in not impressive as we have to wait for the front desk agent to assist us though there is no guest at that time. Room given to us was way too far to the end even we have elderly with us. Until my Husband ask to change to room. Small details was missed. Room not so clean floor is sticky bedsheets got a hole, bed is hard not a hotel bed it's like a house bed. Hallway were too noisy kids were playing around during 8pm.Breakfast food it's just Ok but plates got chip, coffee mugs with stain. Buffet restaurant should have a baby chair I've seen few of the guest with kids unfortunately they do not have, I have to let my daughter sit and I have to hold her while I'm feeding her. First hotel I've stay with no Swimming pool, no doorbell. My Husband book via booking.com as when he check in your hotel website it direct to booking.com, he put a note when doing online reservation but non of he front desk ask or check. We've stay in Xenia Hotel overall experience is fantastic way better than Royce and we will definitely not coming back again to this hotel whenever we will visit Philippines.

Value for money!
We stayed here for 2 nights. The amenities are good. Service staff are friendly and accommodating. Restaurants serve good food. The place is clean, well maintained. Good for business travellers. Our room is big and smells clean. They do the changing of linens daily.

One of the best venue for business meetings
I booked an overnight stay at the hotel for 45 pax which includes complementary breakfast and free use of the Rochester Hall. Before our stay, I made countless changes on the number of participants, fortunately, my contact person in the hotel was very accommodating, nice and helpful, he was considerate enough to make all the changes without any comments and for me that's already a plus. I also did not have the time to do a recon of the place so all planning was decided over the phone or emails. Moving on, when we arrived in the morning, everything was already set inside the Rochester Hall, breakfast was already prepared. Sadly the breakfast dishes were not the usual Filipino breakfast, they served dished like embutido which was a dish served for lunch. I did not choose our breakfast menu as it was complementary. The rest of the food served during our stay was normal, it wasn't bad and it wasn't that delicious. The waiters were also helpful, since I don't drink coffee after lunch I asked for a tea, even though it wasn't part of our contract they still gave me the drink. As for our rooms, we booked triple sharing rooms, I asked them to add one more bed so 4 pax in 1 room. The rooms were clean, there are laundry bags, slippers, water, tea bags, coffee, towels, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, and soap. There's cold and warm shower. The 4th bed is a folding bed and at first they provided the bed with only a think blanket so we called room service to provide the thick blanket, which was in the 3 beds, for the 4th bed because it was unfair for our friend to sleep using a thin blanket when we paid the same amount. The hotel is also wheelchair friendly. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel and give them 5 stars for their service, hospitality, helpfulness and attentiveness.
