The familiar, warm ambiance one gets from entering the Sagada Log Cabin Restaurant and Homestay owes itself to the lodge’s origins as a residential home. The restaurant, a favourite among locals and tourists, extends a similar aura, making Log Cabin an ideal place for travellers seeking respite from the crowded town of Sagada.
While only offering one room, Log Cabin is rated as one of the best abodes in Sagada. The room comes with a cable television, private shower with hot and cold water, and plenty of thick comforters for the cold and chilly Sagada nights. It comes equipped with two double beds, a chandelier, and even has its very own balcony overlooking the town. The room is well decorated to mimic the rustic and alpine aesthetic of a real cabin. There is a designated smoking area within the premises.
Guests of the lodge are treated to many services, including room service and public WiFi access. The lodge is well equipped to accommodate guests with disabilities.
The Log Cabin is famous for their restaurant, so much so that a reservation prior is almost necessary. While the restaurant specializes in European and Filipino fusion, it is most recognized for its Saturday buffets, which takes place at the house of the owners. Like the homestay, the restaurant has a great atmosphere, designed to feel like a small cafe in a European countryside. The great food and warm reception makes a visit to the restaurant a must for travelers.
Travelers looking to visit the town’s tourist attractions will be pleased to know that the lodge is located near Sumaguing Cave, Kiltepan Point, Bangaan Rice Terraces, and Bomod-od Falls at 870 meters, 1.94, 2.51, and 5.29 kilometers, respectively. Shuttle transfer is available upon request.
