'Home from Home'
We had a wonderful stay in Sea Dream on July 16th to 21st 2017. The staff are friendly and made our stay like 'home from home'. The choice of food is excellent, especially the 'special menu' board and portion and presentation is exceptional. The deluxe room is very spacious and although, it is showing signs of cosmetic repairs, the traditional and modern interior design is reflective through the resort. During our stay the ambience of the resort was tranquil and peaceful as there were a only a few guest. The location is about half an hour from Dumaguete and they offer drop off or pick up services for a fee. We decided to use different types of transportation during our stay from local jeepney or yellow buses (this can flag down by the main road, a few minutes from the resort gate entrance) 10 pesos per person to Dumaguete or hired a bike/moped for a day or per hour. You can request a moped/bike tour guide which is a great way to familiarise with local road and traffic and see other villages. There are different tours offers, however, the tour prices are base on how many people signed up. The whale sharks watching was our highlight of the stay. Although, it's a sardine of tourists waiting to swim with the whale shark, it is 'once in a lifetime' opportunity to be with these gentle sea giant. The marine sanctuary is outside the resort, the beach is typical of Dumaguete coastline. Its rocky and volcanic sands. The wifi signal is excellent and the front desk are always willing to help with any travel advice or offer local knowledge.

Clean, spacious & delicious food
My Fiancee and i are staying here for 4 days, after only 2 days we are already quite impressed. Our room is sea view deluxe on the third floor, the room is very spacious, air con works very well, satellite tv has most major channels. The 3 best points of this hotel is the rooms, grounds, restaraunt and pool is extremely clean, ALL the food at the restaraunt is delicious, including the drinks and they do packed lunches for dive tours. The third is the view in morning and the fact that directly out the front of the hotel is a marine sanctuary where you can enjoy snorkelling. Only very minor issue was the tv reception which was just a loose co-ax cable, all fixed and all good :)

Nice resort but kinda far from the action
bring water shoes. The beach is all rocks but the snorkeling is very good. No snacks or drinks if the resto is closed. Be ready to rent a motorcycle to tour around. good quality bikes & much better price than hiring a car or tricycle. The jeeps were very full as they passed.Go snorkeling very early in the morning because the wing gets stronger in the afternoon & the current can take you down the beach where it is a tough swim back or walking over rocks.

Top notch experience
I've stayed at Sea Dream several times and it's always been a very pleasant and satisfying experience. The pool is inviting, the food is excellent, and the location is great for diving, snorkeling, walking along the beach, or just relaxing. The rooms are large, airy, and very nicely appointed with furniture that was crafted on the premises in the resort's own woodworking shop. The staff is professional and courteous and responsive to any requests or special needs. The restaurant offers fine dining or a snack, as you prefer. Try it - you'll be glad you did.

This resort was an even better experience!
I don't normally want to bring close friends and family to a place I never tried. But when my first choice was fully booked, I decided to take a chance hoping that the picture of the resort was a real one. I was completely blown away... it was an even better experience. From my room, I had a fantastic view of the pool and the sea. While the beach expectedly was rocky, there was a marine sanctuary practically close to the resort great for snorkeling. And the pool was just great and very clean too! The guest rooms didn't have phones but who needs them? You don't need to call room service as everything is well provided for. Food portions are huge and great tasting. I have to thank my lucky stars that the other resort was full.
