Best place ever!
We visited many places in the Philippines but it's indeed hard to find a decent ocean front resort/hotel, however, this place was absolutely fantastic specially if you are looking for a quite place to sea all types of sea creatures like sea turtles, sea urchins, fish, corals etc. We were originally in other resort next to this place but because my girlfriend was very upset since that place was smelly, small, dirty etc we decided to move somewhere else and found this resort. My girlfriend, her daughter and I were very amazed with this resort, we had even some drinks with the owner! I'm definitely planning to come back here. By the way the food was actually so yummy. My girlfriend and I were so thankful that we invited the owners to our wedding day!

So much potential, so little life.
The hotel has direct access to the sea but has no beach. It is completly isolated from other hotels or establishments so you might feel a bit stuck. It is located in the part of Maolboal that is considered "high end" and described as quiet. Both statements are true, however, it is so quiet and remote that feels like off season and so unatracive that you think that your money could be spent better (and in fact moving to noisy and cheap part of Maolboal turned out to be a much better option). Coming in the evening to a gloomy restaurant with a turned on TV that no one watched felt depressive. Wee are, however, grateful to the Filipina owner without whom the place would feel completly dead. She was the only positive and vibrant part of the staff.

Staff is lovely!
When arriving to the hotel you'll be welcomed by really lovely staff which is one of the best aspects of the hotel! The rooms are clean, big, in good condition and have a terrace and the AC works, but however the WiFi does not work in the rooms. Also the shower pressure is really low. The hotel area is really nice and if you want to arrange for example snorkeling trips or diving, the staff will assist you. The hotel has a shore area, but however no beach so it is not possible to lay on the sand there.

Paradise in Moalboal!
Staying at Sea Turtle House felt like staying in a secluded paradise; our room was very clean and nicely decorated, the property is large and has so many things available for guests to enjoy with an ocean view! Snorkling in the area is fantastic - it was the best place that we snorkled in the Philippines, we saw around 8 sea turtles in 2 days. The staff are very friendly and the welcome drink is delicious! The on-site restaurant is a little expensive but the food is good. We are looking forward to coming back, and are recommending Sea Turtle House to everyone we know heading to Cebu.

I will not come here again
2 night (no a/c room) fully book in advance with agoda, 75 euro... for be in filippin completly overprice (but i read some pay more) Just now i read other comment, and i just agree with all bad one. 1. No beach, they replay they have a beach but is just a garden and not finish yet, real beach is just 10 mt large and not really good for swim, but in my mind that i dont call a "beach" 2. Room is not a room, bed is not only small but unconfortable same as what u can get at ikea with 30 euro, 10cm or less, many ants, the water from the bathroom was stincky and actually dirty (every where write "save every single drop of water") we wanted wash our clothes but we decide not to do, luckly no mosquito. Alredy at 5 in morning to noise about neighbor's animals, but its normal. No tv, no internet, (agoda write free wifi) if its sunny day no problem cos u should stay out, but what if is rainy??? 3. I rent scooter for 500 pesos a day from the sea turtle house person and come other person and give me paper to sign, after 30 min ride my tire flat, ok, for me no proble cos happened before also, (30 pesos for vulcanize) but here different, the tire was damage and inside so many rubber alredy, and the guy from vulcanize say to me is big damage and many time, so i call the number of the sea turtle and replay someone in cebu city(???) He said is not them problem (but i rent from u....) but i will try to help u, just keep the receipt and will give money back (receipt??? From that kind of shop???) Fortunely could fix tube inside tire but i was afraid to go far so i just go around cos the scooter was not so safe. 4. Location: nothing around, isolated, 15 min by scooter from the city and the road is very rough for 5 min (so the scooter need good tire) especially rainy days And u need 7/10 min by scooter to rich white sand beach (nice beach not best) 5. Feedback After i read feedback i decide to write mine and im usually positive person. But i wanna help people wanna spend good vacation to know about what expect at this place. In them book (menu book) there was this comment: i spend 3 week around filippine and i never eat so delicious food.... Mmmmhhh sounds funny for me. The food was ok, but over price at all, maybe just budget meal for 180 pesos. A shrimp with chili was 330 pesos but my opinion (im italian chef from various country) was not fresh at all, maybe few days? I saw a comment that they need rennovate that place and sea turtle house replay: we have been so extremely successful that we have no time to upgrade. Really??? (my replay: and u have time to teplay at every comment in trip advisor???) What i could see about trip advisor feedback is, most long feedback is bad and true, cos write very accuracy, but the good feedback is very short and no say anything at all... so what do u think about? 2+2 is not 5 right?
