The rooms are very clean, very comfortable, and well-designed. It was just like in the photos. We have no complaints about the room. The location was a bit misleading. It was very close to the beach, yes, but what wasn't mentioned in the hotel details was that larger hotels and resorts have blocked access to the beach so you have to walk quite a lot to get to the beach. The staff was horrible. I swear. I decided to book this hotel because of the good reviews but in reality, the staff couldn't care less. The first guy was okay, he let us check in early into one of our two booked rooms. Although, it's worth mentioning that he could've let us check in to both rooms since we were the only guests at the time. He also gave us the wrong direction to the beach. So that was not nice. The second one, her name is Pearl, I think. She really should not be working in customer service. When I asked her questions, she didn't even look at me, she kept looking at her phone. She did answer all my questions but she did disdainfully, as if I'm bothering her by asking questions. To be fair, she did what I asked her to do but her attitude and general demeanor is very rude. The last guy (Alex or something) was also quite rude. We needed smaller bills to pay our tricycle and I asked him if he can break my 1000-peso bill. He didn't complain even look at me, he kept looking at his phone, too, and shook his head. He was l like a teenager refusing to follow his/her mom. Look, I'm not asking for a red carpet and royal treatment but, as a guest, I was expecting them to answer questions politely (especially since I asked politely, as well), to help us with our concerns, ane at the very least, seem apologetic if they cannot help us. The staff at Eco Hotel need some serious retraining.
