When I first walk in to the room I can smell the smelly carpet, at first I thought it was ok when I turn on the air conditioning, but the smell of an old rug really bothers me and I immediately call the front desk. so the front desk just give us air freshener. Is it the solution to the problem? I ask them to give us another room but they just ignored us, they didn't even ask us how was the smell now. then by 8pm. we went back to the room because we are so tired, then we directly went to bed, ignoring the smell of a rug around us. then at 12 midnight, my partner woke up because she is allergic to dust and was coughing very hard. then thats the time that the we notice that the pillow that we are using also smells like an old rug, and I think they didn't even change it from the first one who use the room! I felt like we've been robed by hotel, the money that was paid was useless, I was thinking to call the front desk, but we are already tired and really want to rest, so I just let my partner take antihistamine. then go back to bed, it's hard for me to go back to bed, because I was really mad, and frustrated about the kind of service they have. I was thinking, maybe they just ignored our request to change the room because we just booked the less expensive room, we are not vip, compare to those ASEAN delegates, we feel that we wasted our money, we didn't get the comfort that we receive. so in the morning, I just let go of what I feel and we decided not to complain. they offer us late check out but we refused.
