This review is mainly for the GOLF
Being a resident in Sun Valley I have played the course numerous times and find it one of the best parkland courses I have played. Elevation changes and scenery are very pleasing and make for an enjoyable experience. The course is quite narrow in places and not really for a slicing tee shot player.... I confess to be a very average player and really just play for the fun of the walk and the scenery, that said I have played many courses in South East Asia and UK...... Being a resident overlooking Fairway Suites hotel I have on many occasions complained at the noise those evening pool side entertainment parties create.... they often break the curfew hours under pressure from the guests, so please if you do visit Faiway suites, by all means enjoy but when the staff tell you the party is over... have some respect for the permanent residents and do NOT bribe the staff to continue the party beyond the curfew hour....

Horrible. The worst vacation I ever had.
We stayed here for 3 days and two nights. Booked a room for a high price. We arrived quite late since we had trouble finding the place since it was secluded. On the first morning, we were woken up by the sound of hammers hitting nails and heavy equipment like plywood falling to the ground at 7am. Being tired from driving the day before, it was horrible. The place is basically located between the mountains so don't expect to get any good signal from your phone (Im using Globe). You cant get any mobile internet connection either. They do have WIFI but you can only get LAN from it (no internet connection either). If you want to watch cable, you'll only get a few useful channels, and most of the channels are local channels. TAKE NOTE: No HBO or other movie channels. On the second morning, AT 8AM in the morning, one of the staff just came inside our room WITHOUT KNOCKING WHILE WE WERE SLEEPING. I was with my partner, and it was a really, really really traumatizing experience. The staff told us they were gonna replace the content of our fridge, which was REALLY weird, especially IF YOU DONT KNOCK, AND JUST USE YOUR STAFF KEYS TO ENTER OUR ROOM. Maybe they had no idea that there was somebody in the room, but I would think it is common courtesy to at least knock. The place doesn't accept credit cards, so I suggest to bring cash if you want to buy something from the resort.

Your exclusive Korean haven in Antipolo
It was a risk booking a hotel with no reviews available online, but Antipolo's proximity to Manila is what made me consider Fairway Suites for a long weekend. I booked the hotel by calling their rather "choppy" landline two weeks prior. I told them we won't be taking our own car so we asked directions on how to commute from Cubao. It was one LRT, 1 jeepney and 1 cab ride away from Gateway Mall. We took a taxi because you cannot walk from Marcos Hi-way going to the hotel proper because it is quite far. Cab costs approximately P90 from the Cogeo 2 palengke. No public transpo are available either because it is inside an exclusive estate. Fairways Suites is a two storey hotel with more or less 50 rooms. It is inside SunValley Estates. It is infront of the golf course so just imagine how secluded, quiet and green the surroundings are. It has a small pool, a posh reception area and a Korean resto. I honestly did not expect the number of Korean golfer guests in the hotel. It was only opened to Filipinos this year when they began offering accommodations through group-buying site, where I bought my voucher. All the staff, except the Manager, are Pinoy, and they are all really accommodating, cheerful and friendly. We were assigned a cozy room with 2 single beds, a pantry and a huge glass door. All the appliances seem new, the aircon makes the room freezing in a matter of minutes. There is a cable TV but considering how enclosed the valley is, the channels are limited. They also provide a water heater, complimentary bottled water, toothbrush, soap, shampoo and 3-in-1 korean coffee per room. The pool is open to guests and given the November weather, it is quite warm in the late afternoon. Their korean resto serves only korean dishes hence, it does not serve the usual merienda. The meals range from P350-1000 per dish so I suggest you bring your own baon and eat in your car or try to sneak it in your room. While I am unfamiliar with korean dishes, I enjoyed their huge serving of mackerel and bibimbap with japanese rice. They have no stock of their Melona ice cream that day and we have to settle for mango shakes for dessert. We were booked on a Saturday and there was a Pinoy band playing by the pool in the evening. It was a very entertaining and intimate mini-concert which the Korean guests greatly enjoyed. It was nice to go on an early morning jog within the vicinity and be greeted by an all Korean breakfast which has both rice and breads, free with the accommodation. Had I know it will be a very relaxing vacation, I would have booked two days and next time, we will definitely bring our car!
