I love Taal Vista! Great view, friendly/attentive staff and easy check-in and check-out. It's just hard to go to the pool area when you are in the lake wing. Also, breakfast choices/menu is something the hotel can still improve on, though I like the croissants!

We love Taal Vista Hotel. Indeed you'll discover another chapter of Tagaytay City when you booked here. The staff even prepared a surprise birthday cake for our son (so thoughtful!)
9.7
Nice hotel with the great view of taal lake. The breakfast buffet is really good.

Celebrated mother's day and my mom truly enjoyed. We noticed that security is a bit relaxed. We somehow felt unsafe considering anyone may just enter the hotel / pool area. South bound traffic is really bad on weekends.

Lake Wing view is perfect... I've been to 4 different rooms, some AC is not working properly... some rooms doesn't have bidet. WiFi is a bit better than other hotels in Tagaytay. Pool area is a bit far if you are coming from Lake Wing. Food isn't really as good as other restaurants nearby... they'll even charge you for a bucket of ice. Oh and the hallway doesn't have emergency lights. We experienced a few short brownouts during our stay.

A dream staycation in Tagaytay!
So many things changed at Taal Vista Hotel. From my visit many years ago, I really felt that they have upgraded the rooms, the service, and the whole experience. Since we are close to Tagaytay, we decided to treat ourselves to a nice staycation and our choice was Taal Vista Hotel. Upon arriving, you can already feel the hospitality of the people. They were always there to say hello and always greet you with a smile. Our room was nice and spacious. It was clean and the bed was really comfortable. The view from our room was also stunning. One restaurant that you must try to fully enjoy the experience was TAZA FRESH TABLE which is also located inside Taal Vista. I promise you that you are going to love their food. Otherwise, you can go for a buffet meal at the Veranda Restaurant which also offers international cuisine that you will surely enjoy. Overall, I am very happy that we chose Taal Vista for our staycation. And when in Tagaytay, Taal Vista Hotel is my top choice!

Best in Tagaytag
Taal Vista easily outclasses other local options. Modern, very clean, comfortable rooms. Interior "superior" rooms lack any view at all but view from the upgrade rooms is great. Impressive view from the grounds for everyone. Excellent service. Breakfast options are impressive. Dining in general is a strong point. Staff is professional and very friendly. This is a good option for both couples and families. Cost is manageable.

Among the best in Tagaytay
If you have the budget to stay in this hotel, book one here now. It will make your stay here in Tagaytay more memorable. The best part was the buffet the next morning. The only downside i wanted to address is that i wished we were notified early on before we were escorted to our table that we had to pay extra for each person that went over the original count for our room. Our room was only for 3 persons but we had an extra person sleeping with us as well

Unreasonable Security
I booked thru my office staff and the reservation was in her name though credit card details were mine. Front desk officers required identification papers of the person who reserved the rooms despite I would be the one using it. This bureaucratic requirement upon check in was very unwelcoming. It was a long drive to get here and to have this kind of service just ruins the start of a supposedly nice holiday. Not recommended. Felt like i was dealing with government rather than a hotel.

Birthday Visit
I have booked a 01-night stay in Taal Vista Hotel last 29 September for my dad's birthday. They have a birthday package that includes a whole bday cake and a 60 minute massage which you can avail if you book directly on their site. Their reservation team is very helpful and responds on a timely manner. Their check-in time got a little delayed as their rooms got ready only around 02:40 PM, wherein the standard check-in time was at 02:00 PM. We understand it as they must have gotten busy or they might have been fully booked the other day, however, They should have at least considered out request for a late check-out even until 01:00 PM considering that we have not checked-in on time and that we have mentioned it on our booking request upon arriving. Also, my parents were asked for a payment for their 60 minute massage on their check-out day even though it was already included on our booking package. It got sorted out anyways after. All in all it was a good hotel to stay in around tagaytay and my parents have enjoyed their entire stay and would likely to come back again. Hotel - Good Views - Very Good Buffet Breakfast - Very Good Reservation process - Very Good Check-in process - Average (Their reception should be more friendly and accommodating to the guests)

Famous for its breathtaking views of the volcano and lake, Taal Vista Hotel is one of the longest standing hotels in Tagaytay City. Formerly a lodge used to hold important cabinet meetings during the late 1930’s, the property now serves as a landmark and favorite destination of tourists and locals alike.

Guests can choose between staying in the Mountain Wing or Lake Wing where different room variations, views and sizes are available. Whether it be a suite, or a simple deluxe room, the cool mountain breeze, fresh air, and all around comfort is felt wherever you are in the property.

Weekend mornings and afternoons tend to get packed at Veranda, one of the hotel’s restaurants. Guests and daytrippers who avail of the reasonably priced breakfast and lunch buffet are often serenaded by local musicians while they enjoy their meals next to an amazing view.

Guests also have the option to eat in Taza, a sit-down restaurant that serves premium farm to table vegetables and meats, or cap off the day with a drink at the lobby lounge.

For recreational activities, there is a swimming pool, a spa, a fitness center, and a kid’s club.

The hotel is strategically located between commercial areas such as famous Tagaytay restaurants Balay Dako and Bag of Beans while tourist favorites such as the Mahogany Market and the Sky Ranch are just a short walk away. Taal Vista Hotel is about 60 kilometers from the international airport or just an hour away from Manila. Shuttles could be arranged upon request.
