The staffs are kind and really accommodating. The reception or lounge area is nice and comfy while the rooms are all clean and the bunk beds are nice too and they even have their own electrical outlets, electric fans, lights, and exhaust fans. They also provide free lockers outside the rooms. Will definitely stay here again

Only stayed for 1 night. Staffs were very nice and accommodating. Comfort rooms were very clean. Very near from shopping mall and restaurants. I will definitely book here again when in Manila.
- Backpacking
The place was clean and comfortable. I personally didn’t expect to have a really sound sleep but I had! I also appreciate the light breakfast they had. I mean, for that price? It was really worth it! I just hope they would fix things to be paid attention to in their showers.
- Backpacking
I love this place. The staffs are so nice and this place is so convenient. And the bar has the apple beer is so good. I will be back 😊
- Business travel
Reception at 22/1 night time is not good to talk to me. And very noisy from bar, door always noise and wall of bed it's very slim you can hear someone snoring and calling and last the very thin blanket. "The important is no warm water on the bathroom. Water very cold But it's very clean housekeepers always clean place and guest services very nice, near big shopping mall and a lot of shop.
- Business travel
I was lucky to get the lower bed. It was quite spacious. Downside: There is only one pillow and the comforter is thin. Ups: The room is air-conditioned but there is a small fan inside the bunk just in case you need it as well as exhaust fan. On the side wall there is a power outlet. I like the fact that you can only access the room with a keycard which you insert on the sidewall to access power to your bed's lighting and power source. Overall, it is a very well thought capsule with a busy traveller in mind. Kudos to Tambayan!
- Romantic Vacation
We were checked in to the nearby condominium unit-turned-hotel room since the rest room isnt functioning. Sort of hassle since it's at the 32nd floor and the elevator sucks. The room is ok though.
- Business travel
The room is clean. The staffs are so friendly! I highly recommend this place. I will definitely be coming back!
- Backpacking

Good service, near Robinson plaza.
- Backpacking

Tambayan Capsule Hostel & Bar is a hip hostel and popular hangout spot located in the heart of Malate, Manila. Located in a renovated Filipino mansion along Pedro Gil, the old Manila-themed hostel is perfect for young backpackers and budget travelers who want to experience the city’s culture like never before.

While the hostel offers private rooms which feature hotel-grade beds, an air conditioning unit, a flat-screen television with cable channels, and a work desk, the property takes pride in its Japanese-inspired capsule rooms. These rooms offer bunk-style capsule beds which are equipped with their own electric fans, reading lights, premium bedding, a mirror, electric sockets, exhaust fans, and pull down curtains for privacy. Perfect for those traveling on a budget, capsule rooms can fit as much as 14 guests. Capsule occupants are given their own locker. Shared bathrooms come with a hot and cold shower, and complete bath amenities. All-female dorm rooms are also available. Complimentary WiFi can be accessed in all public and private areas throughout the property.

During their stay, guests can hang out in the common area where board games like Snakes and Ladders, Scrabble, chess, and playing cards are free for use.

Tambayan Gastrobar, the hostel’s in-house cocktail bar and restaurant, is a great place for a night cap. The menu consists of modern Filipino fares prepared with only the freshest ingredients and produce.

The hostel is within walking distance from some of Manila’s most popular sites such as Intramuros, Rizal Park, Malate Church, and the National Museum.

Travelers coming from the Ninoy Aquino international Airport will only need to take a 30-minute car ride to get to the property.
