Very Good

We were upgraded to a suite room since they have no standard room available. Customer service is great.
All special requests were granted! Thanks for putting so much effort in bringing the birthday cake for my loved one. Everything was just well coordinated. Indeed, we had an amazing stay. Looking forward to staying in Manila Hotel again.
Great stay. I have been planning to stay in this hotel for so long. And so happy to get an affordable rates. We are so glad that we were upgraded to suite for free... The room is clean and the service is great. A memorable Holy Week indeed.
It was a very nice and unforgettable experience at manila hotel
My family and I had a really great stay at Manila Hotel. Accommodating staff, clean room and delicious breakfast buffet
Satisfied with our stay.. till our next booking
Great stay! We'll definitely go back
It was great spending the holiday in this hotel
It was a great experience considering it was our first time to stay overnight. Our daughters loved the room along with it's amenities. Great food also. Considering to go back when time permits again.
The bathtub drain and rain shower head in the room assigned to us are not working. We asked for room service but to no avail.

Great service fron day 1 to check out
It was a pleasant stay all throughout..although it was a busy day during our check in but the receptionist was swift and quick. the staff are genuinely accomodating and are really sticking to their mantra of filipino hospitality. Breakfast buffet has decent offerings but very few filipino breakfast staples. If you want to eat out better go to the nearest mall like Robinsons Manila since the only resto i saw nearby is Shakeys. 711 is also available across the street. Manila ocean aprk is just a few minutes away so is Luneta Park and Intramuros. Love the turndown service and my kid is always looking forward for the chocolate.

Still a wonderful hotel
PROs - Beautiful decor; sort of old school like you'd see in movies (Watch "Somewhere in Time"; the facades are similar); beautiful corridor - Nice room with a view of intramuros - Complete room amenities - bar, toiletries, fresh towels, cable tv, stationery, safe, etc. - Privacy, security, peach & quiet - Most reasonably priced 5 star hotel in the area - Free parking - Wide selection in breakfast buffet CONs - TV remote for the T&B was taped up and kind of busted - Carpets need to be cleaned; room was a bit dusty from the carpet which had visible dirt stains near the door - Food is mediocre & of course, overpriced; breakfast meats like bacon and sausages were oily and too fatty; I should've stuck to the fruits, bread, cheese and smoked salmon - Unfortunately, and this isn't Manila Hotel's fault, Manila Bay stinks. You can smell it from the pool area.

What a Great 6 nights!
Was a little leary at first due to age of hotel...but upon arrival knew we had made the right choice! Here's my quick review but let me just say I can highly recommend & would stay here again when we return! Pros: Hotel is in beautiful condition. Great location Highly secure Incredible history, take tour Extremely clean Beautiful lobby area, unique to the Philippines Great Staff! Starting with Danielle at front desk. Extremely professional & accommodating. Worked with us in getting the perfect room! Room 1419, view of bay. Great guy...should be running place soon! Julius at Cafe Ilang...very attentive & positive. Entire staff at MH were extremely friendly & accommodating...made our stay so enjoyable. Breakfast buffet was one of the best!! Particularly young man with glasses working the omelette station... Cons: Taxis were kinda hit & miss...on certain occasions, got taxi immediately, other occasions, 30 minutes! Restaurants were pricy for us. $50 USD for dinner buffet was too much for us, so we just taxi to Barbara's (see my recommendation), Aristocrat or Robinson mall for dinner. On final days, a Tupperware convention started & place was packed having a line for breakfast...would have been nice if the hotel had 2 lines, one for guests & another for convention guests...also, automating their check-in for breakfast using room keys would have been nice. As stated, overall, we had a great stay at MH! Highly recommended. Tip: traffic in Manila sucks...be ready...took us 90 minutes to get back from Greenbelt mall! Trip to mall was 20 minutes Biggest Tip: If you take the horse driven carriages or trikes around Intramuros, be careful, very sketchy as they know you are tourists...not dangerous, but how do you handle the vendor telling you one price, but at end, it's a different price?...I didn't want to argue here so I got ripped about 300 pesos, for me, learned a hard lesson, don't take any rides without some sort of meter! Bottom line...as tourists, I've come to realize I'm going to be ripped off at times...even using common sense, sometimes best to bite the bullet & pay the price.

Great hotel!
The room had two queen beds and was very clean. The bathroom had a flatscreen in the bathtub. The pool was very nice and they also have a small kids area. One bad thing is the pool closes very early in my opinion. And we didn't get to enjoy as much as we wanted. One of the best bars and breakfast the next morning!

The lobby was elegant and it was indeed a historical place. I hope the management maintain its grandeur and let the people know about its rich history. I rate it 4 bec carpet smells old and you can sometimes smell the bay from the inside
