Overall, I’m really satisfied with our stay at Margarette Hotel. The hotel is clean, nice and accessible as it is along the highway. The service given by the staff is also good. We had free breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is my second stay here. My experience was the same both times. This leads me to believe that this is the common practice. The facilities are adequate. It is a little irritating to have to carry baggage to the second or third floor with no elevator. But, I can bear this. The breakfast is not good (two choices of meat with rice and cold, burnt egg) The coffee is OK. Personally, I would not order the breakfast. It is not worth it but it comes with the room. The real issue is customer service. It simple does not exist. The staff go about their duties with no care for those who stay. Example: Upon check-in they did not give me login for the wifi. I assumed it would be posted in the room. I called down stairs and asked for the code. I was give a code but not the user name. So, I called down again, and it did not work. The guard will not assist in leaving (the bank next door takes up all the parking and blocked me in). While I am an English speaker I do have minimal Visayan and I did have a Pinoy with me to assist with check-in. So, language was not an issue. The staff is completely inattentive. What would otherwise be a good hotel is mediocre due to the inattentive staff. They do not value the customer.

I booked the "Single Deluxe Room." The hotel is fine. Spacious, clean, everything functions. The restroom was clean, spacious, and there is hot water. The AC was also good. The staff lacks any customer service (greetings, thank you, etc.). Parking: the guard does not enforce the parking and in mid-day, the bank next door takes all the parking. I had to park down the street and got a flat tire as a result. After I left the hotel, a friend told me they have parking in the rear. The staff (front desk and guard) never mentioned this. I am a foreigner but I did have a Filipino assist me with check-in. There is no reason why they could not have told us this, as language was no barrier. I understand with the travel restrictions there are challenges but the breakfast is very poor. I did not mind the limited choices (2). There was a nice portion of rice, one egg, and maybe a tablespoon of corned beef. The coffee was freshly brewed and good. Note: There is no elevator so or bag assistance.

Romantic Vacation
It was a good experience staying at the Margarette Hotel. Upon check out though they charged us for the towels because it was stained with hair color. They didn't give us the towels though. Other than that, the hotel was clean and accessible to other locations.

It's along the hi-way, room is spacious and clean. But they indicated there's wifi, they gave me password but it didn't work. It mattered to me.
