Convenient, better service. I have only one concern the parking area is small.
- Medical Travel
I have a doctor's appointment at Davao Doctor's Hospital, so location wise it is near the hospital, I can consider it as walking distance. It is not my first time to stay in the hotel but I always love to stay there because I can get a chance to relax for a while and I'm very comfortable staying there. No questions when it comes to the hotels cleanliness, it is very clean. The hotel staff is very accommodating and friendly. Lastly, they have a wide range of choices on their buffet breakfast, just be ready to have a heavy meal and you can skip lunch because of that. Overall, Royal Mandaya is a must try to all tourist who will visit Davao City.
- Romantic Vacation
It's so inconvenient that their air-conditioner leaks as well as their toilet. And I don't think if it was the type of room booked. Stayed there before and it was an excellent stay but this time, uhh...wasn't.
Beautiful hotel. Really had fun!

Not Memorable. A Bit Gloomy.
Stayed here for a special occasion of a relative. Rooms looked unexpectedly small for my taste and the ambiance at the lobby and hallways was a bit gloomy. The area where it is right at the center of the city, but the location just outside of the lobby also looked a bit gloomy for me. The hotel staff members, though, were courteous as I expected because it's Davao City.

Delighting experience.
I stayed for 4 nights and here are my observations. 1. Staff - I was really impressed on their way of caring for their guests upon arriving. I received a small piece of paper from the guard and asked what was that for. On the paper was the plate number of the taxi and name of the taxi I rode onto. They do this every time the guest arrives via taxi to their hotel. The concierge was friendly, even though I arrived at 11 PM. No sign of tiredness on their faces and always smiling. 2. Food - This is the great part for me. The food is delicious but the SPOON is so big. The servers are also friendly. 3. Rooms - The room was basically clean, Aircon is fine. Their is a TV with cable channels. I am comfortable during my rest time on the room. And they also have refrigerator. They clean the room daily, they replenish the toiletries daily. 4. WiFi - No trouble on wifi, but they change the password every two days. The speed is good enough for catching up to work. Overall, the expenses here is worth it.

Visiting Davao for the first time, while relaxing...
I had to say, one of the best hotel stays I've had so far... love the smiles you get from the staff... love the room... great view of the mount... the breakfast was so good and of course the staff... love the free newspapers I get everyday... it was just amazing... would definitely go back and recommend... Thank you to the staff who checked me in, and to the staffs during the breakfast buffet who looked after me so well...

Not the worst hotel....But no where near the best.
I stayed at this hotel for vacation with my girl. We booked for 6 days in the Superior Which was in the older section of the hotel. We also booked another room for her Parents and her Son for 2 days in the Delux suites. Now I have been to several hotels in my time. I realise we all have diffrent opinions on service and comfort. This is just what I experienced. The Negatives.... Breakfast Variety nearly the same everyday. About 3 to four of the hot food was really the diffrence. Toaster always turned off. When you wanted toast it was then turned on for you. We had family guests of 6. We were told we could not use reserved table for 6. We agreed. When we completed our breakfast and left it was still reserved with no one there. Why not reserve the table towards the back? So guests are closer to the food. All the hot food was left with the lid up and the food was cold when eaten. Not attentive to coffee being served. I went to get the coffee myself on two occasions. When i got up to get it myself, i was asked to go back to my table to be served with coffee. Room Faucet makes noise whenn turned on. Too much pressure in the pipes. At 5am in the morning i can hear the other guests all around me having their showers. It is really loud and noticeable Not enough drinking water with only 2 bottles. 2 pieces of fruit supplied on first day. No more fruit after for 6 days stay. Bed was also noisy and squeaking. Other No directions to the pool and no signs directing us to the pool. 1st day at the pool we were given a menu. We ordered 2 drinks and food. Next day no one served us. We sat for 2 hours. Same the following 2 days. No service. Just someone watching us. I had booked 2 rooms. 1 room for my partner and I for Monday to Sunday. One room for my partners family of 3ppl in another room Friday to Sunday. When my partners family arrived the room was for 2 people. Hotel staff did not pay any attention to detail when checked in. Saturday night her family did not want to eat out, stayed in room. We ordered food for them on our room number to be delivered to their room. When delivered we were asked to pay in cash. The room was booked under one name and credit card. So that was quite annoying. Outside the room was noisy on Wednesday morning. When someone continuously knocking on the door 6am as if there was an emergency. When opened the door they said sorry. We even had the do not disturb sign on the door handle. The fridge did not keep our drinks cold. We left our drinks in the morning to come back in the evening and the drinks were not cold. I found out later it had to do with the access key being removed from the power slot which turned off all the power. Access cards on 2 occasions did not work, I had to go back down to the front counter to reprogram the cards. I found our room to be dimly lit for the superior compared to the delux in the newer section of the hotel. Positives The massage down stairs on level 2 was fantastic, We booked for two with a 3 hour massage. It was the best. I kept falling asleep, which means we were very relaxed. Swimming pool was clean. it is a fresh water pool. Only 4ft deep. The staff at the desk always greeted us with a hello Sir. Foyer was always clean and inviting. When catching Taxi's and Grab Taxi's the guard always wrote down the taxi company and unit number and gave us the info on a piece of paper. This was whether we left or arrived in the driveway of the hotel. We were close to the peoples park. Always opened for tourists. My conclusion.... There is a huge lack of attention to detail for the service of this particular hotel. My stay there seemed quite worrying about all the little things that can make big diffrence. I hope the hotel staff can read this and make those changes to help improve it for future guests. Thank you for reading my review.

Worst marketing head assigned for wedding transaction
Dont have your wedding here! I hade my wedding this year 2017. Their marketing head named Katrina, is the worst to deal with because after she gave us her "verbal" yes to a room transaction, the day before our wedding she took back her words and made us pay the whole amount rather than the discounted amount. The nerve after she almost begged us to have that room reservation! And even during the whole transaction of our wedding event, she was absentmindedly saying this and that and agreeing to certain things as our requests but after follow up, she would say she did not say those things. She is a nightmare to deal with transactions with! I wonder how she got her position. This hotel will lose its power because of staffs like her!
