Takes time to check in and out, poor reception's area. Pool is too deep. Great food.
We had a great stay! Great ambiance and assisting staff.
We booked 3 rooms for wedding prep. The reception attendants were very nice. Had a wonderful experience. Rooms are nice, better than it was before. Breakfast is good too but it would better if they have more choices.
I'm with my wife for first time to Manila and enjoy the stay at this hotel. Great location, easy to find food, taxi and also Uber service. It was advised that we need at least 3 hours to reach airport and the location of the hotel is far from NAIA airport.
The tables/desk weren't properly cleaned. Some stuff inside the room were dusty even the bible they have inside the drawer was dusty. Sheets, towels and robes thou were clean thats the most important thing. The pool is not suitable for those who cant swim because acc to the staff its 5-10ft deep. For me its worth what I paid for... Breakfast buffet was okay and staff were awesome.
Perfect Stay! Nice staff, great food!

Great Seminar Venue
We conducted our seminar here. The food was great especially their dessert (our favorite: choco rumble). The lightings in their function rooms are good, ideal for seminars. Location wise, it can be easily located. Rooms are good as well, too many pillows. :) Overall: the Hotel is great with very accommodating staff.

Wedding Reception at the Sulo Riviera Hotel
We had the best hotel for our Wedding Reception in the Sulo Riviera. Everything is just simply amazing. The staff were friendly, the location itself is very accessible, the food was delicious, and the rooms were absolutely huge since we booked the Dona Anita Suite. Its very subtle and not overrated which is actually quite nice. They made my wedding day truly memorable. Its highly recommended for events or for just simply leisure.

Great Stay
Location wise, it was ideal for my work. On arrival, all staff extremely friendly and cordial. Got a room with no WiFi coverage, but was moved to one which had good coverage. Returned after 3 days and was given a great room with view over the pool and great WiFi connection - all bars!! Front desk, concierge, restaurant staff, room service - par excellence. If you can overlook the rather tired appearance, it is great to stay in. Breakfast is good and meals are sumptuous. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice 'classy' hotel but which needs a bit more work
Overall: Generally good.. Good location, but uncomfortable to 'stay in'... Disclaimer: stayed 4 nights and 3 days, deluxe room with buffet breakfast Rooms: - very nice design with a mix of contemporary and old design... But the being old really shows through the rusty locks, wallpapers that are not retouched, and untidy bathroom walls, couches and chairs are showing signs of not being cleaned - the place being old really shows - the furniture could also use some touches; the big lamps serves its purpose of lighting the room but it's unusually large and there is 3 of them which makes the room look small and not cozy.. - the light switches are placed inconveniently far from the bed and behind the huge lamp thus making it hard to reach for it upon entering the room and before going to sleep - tv is small (like a 20 in) with no access to usb meaning you have to stick to cable; it's unusually small given the lamp beside it is huge... Better to have a bigger tv also to cover the unretouched wallpapers... (trust me when I say that you'll have to squint to watch tv) - there is also no luggage rack which means that packing and unpacking luggage will be done on the bed and on the floor (even cheaper hotels have makeshift luggage racks or shelves) - walls are wooden; no issue here but seeing the design of the hotel and its impression of class and glamour, you would expect some carpeting on the floor - internet: practically non-existent; they assisted with the logging in, but the signal is very weak and connection is very unreliable - slippers: tears easily and unreliable; had to buy slippers; you need to handle them with care; feels like a piece of paper is the mere barrier of the floor - very uncomfortable to use especially of the wood flooring Bathroom - nice big bowl; good flush; press to flush function - refills of the toiletries are great - sink is shallow so be prepared for splashes - nice design for placement of other stuff with easy access to trash bin - housekeeping does a good job of replacing towels and adding their own little touches (fan folded towels) - water pressure leaves something to be desired though, it is quite weak and the hot water is not consistent, we even tried the water turning off while in the shower (imagine movies with that scene - that's how we felt) - toiletries are good though, shampoo with conditioner will leave your hair clean and smooth with a nice mint smell and the body wash has a nice moisturizing feel with a lavender scent; lotion is not that good though, with a feeling of itchiness and dryness after some time Bed: - one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in; having a hard time falling asleep because of its stiffness (you can almost feel the springs which also tells you it's quite old also); a mattress cover would remedy that - blanket is a double covered fleece blanket and it won't really keep you warm; a comforter would be a very nice upgrade to level up the comfort factor - pillows are adequate but with inconsistent fluffiness, you have to choose which one is for your head - the throw pillows wreak of unclean, it is clear that these have not been dry cleaned in a while; and there's a lot of them, makes you make time just to put them and balance them at the chairs - sheets are nice, crisp and clean - bed frame is nice and classy, but has a head board with a side border which makes it hard to reach for items on your side table.. It also makes it hard to reach for the switch on the lamps and especially the main light switches Food: - buffet breakfast was adequate; with a limited selection of standard filipino viands, a nice bread and pastry spread, some fruits and cereals, and coffee was good too.. - wait staff was courteous and accommodating; service early in the morning is very good and excellent but kind of dwindles down when nearing closing time - my issue here is the selections: stayed for 4 nights and the food would appear to be the same every day (which makes you think if they just reheated and recycled some of the food); another issue is the raw chicken that I noticed, took 3 chicken wings and every one of them was still raw needing at least 3 - 5 minutes more of cook time but was remedied the next day (but makes you think - reheated? recycled?) - tableware and seat comfort was excellent - glamorous and comfortable Location: - very good! A lot of restaurants, fast food establishments and convenience stores around - walking distance to Philippine Heart Center and near to East Avenue Medical Center - 10 min ride (no traffic) to TriNoma and SM North Edsa Inconveniences: 1. Uncomfortable bed (please see above) 2. Rooms are not sound proofed - you can hear footsteps and conversations outside your room - there was an event during one of the nights and the room was really near the hall, because it was a party, you can actually make out the music and the shouts and talk of the party guests; because of this we had a really hard time sleeping (try to think of your hotel guests too who are sleeping in their rooms - you're a hotel primarily right?) - even the regular friday band can be heard while you are in the room (the lounge area is quite far from our room so imagine how loud the event was in the hall beside our room) 3. Upon checkout (which was quite long also), we were given a giveaway - 2 mugs; it is highly appreciated and we are very grateful, but because we were on our way to our flight, had to think of a way to carry it (good thing we had a spare mesh bag), but it was very inconvenient to carry because we already packed everything and already had a plan to carry our stuff - it's an additional piece of hand carry that we need to think of, it's even much more inconvenient to bring than our luggage itself - the thought is highly appreciated but also please think of your guests on how they will carry it after (a usb drive perhaps? Or a pen, notebook, calendar, bag tags, fountain pen?) a number of options are available which are smaller and much more functional for travellers.. 4. Internet: there was practically no internet (read above); good thing that we brought a pocket wifi but my point is if you're exuding that kind of elegance, a high internet connection would match that ambiance 5. Slippers: had to buy slippers as the slippers were uncomfortable, unreliable and tears easily 6. Hard to reach lights 7. Headboard border really makes it hard to reach for items on the side table Others: - No elevator, only stairs but rooms are available in the first floor - Only 2 floors, so traffic can be heard - has a pool but haven't seen anyone swim Impression: - hotel is pretty concerned on the feel, ambiance and glamour of the hotel that it tends to forget the essentials of a hotel - comfort, ease, convenience and pleasure of the guests - it seems that they are trying to catch up with times by offering events and other activities but has to also remember that it is a hotel (a place where people stay for the night) - remembering the old feel and heritage of the hotel does not mean keeping the old stuff also; upgraded furniture and appliances, keeping items clean, changing rusted items, and soundproofing won't compromise the old feel but rather it would complement the vibe that the hotel is offering - hotel ambiance and comfort level does not match - a feel of glamour, luxury and high end is present but the comfort is lacking - a hotel would make you want to sleep and enjoy the room, not just its lobby and venue... Conclusion: nice hotel with a touch of class but comfort is lacking; recommended for coffee breaks, short meetings to impress clients, good for company events or seminar, also select events; would not recommend for staying in...
