Clean Facilities
We booked an Executive Room for a mini getaway trip with the family. The facilities were clean and spacious. The pictures in the website are very true to what it looks like, and we're happy with how the staff accommodated us as well. The bathroom was also clean, and the water pressure and temperature was just enough for us.

Superb place to relax with your family
Everything is as you find on their webpage. This is really a super nice resort in the mountain. It's clean and well taken care of everywhere. The food is really good and tasty and prices are affordable. The staff are all nice and friendly. The rooms are big and there's television and split type aircon. All in all I can recommend this resort...

Good resort not too far from Manila
This was an interesting find. It's a good resort not too far from Manila, just a bit under 2 hours of travel time. The resort is big enough to enjoy in a day or two with several pools to choose from and some fun activities for all. Although this is in Batangas, this is quite far from the beaches that the province is famous for. The resort sits at the foot of Mt. Maculot and offers only man-made swimming pools. Other facilities available are the pool slides, zip line, air bike, hanging bridge and a basketball court. Thumbs up: 1. Clean pools and night swimming up to 12 mn 2. Zip line and air bike at very reasonable fees 3. Fresh air (lots of trees all over) and clean area (well-maintained) 4. Safe parking area 5. You can bring and cook/grill your own food (no corkage charge) 6. Rooms for different type groups (small, medium or large groups) 7. Free WiFI for guests Thumbs down: 1. Inadequate exhaust system in some rooms. The first room given to us smelled of dried fish (somebody must have done their cooking there). 2. Room service response too slow. Our request for a clean up of the room to get the smell out took at least three requests and around 30 minutes to be actually serviced. Our request for a tech to fix the cable TV in our new room was never actually serviced. Their promise to send somebody to our room to give us a fresh WiFI password never materialized so we had to go down and get he password ourselves. 3. The giant pool slows you down - actually stops you - at a certain point and you lose momentum going down. Their solution is for sliders not to use rash guards. Maybe it would be better to repaint the slide with a more suitable type of paint and pump more water down the slopes. 4. Stairs to the upper rooms are very steep. The third floor rooms are built for athletic youngsters (even the way up to the zip line and giant slide). 5. Construction noise. They are adding some structures and the workers work within the area during the day so you can hear pounding and grinding of metal a lot (maybe only until they've finished the construction). 6. Only one control wristband was issued for our 3-day stay. Is that even hygienic? I suggest they change the wristband daily for guest staying more than one night. Really fun place for a family outing. Plus facts: you can buy fresh fruits from small fruit stands along the way.

Great "WET" get-away!
We live in Lipa, which is only 20km away from "Mercedes", but still probably a 50 minute drive, cause this is the Philippines! First of all. AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS COUNT A LOT! Staff are all super helpful, and friendly. We arrived to early for check in (our fault), but were given a covered "cottage" to stay in till room was ready. Our room (202), had 2 VERY large double beds. Great, cause we had our two children. My only problem was there was only one seat/chair in the room, so if you are inside you are forced to lie/sit on bed!! There is a very long TV cabinet, which could be half the size and would allow for at least one more seat. Our balcony was large and spacious, overlooking the pool. Guess what? No seats! Not even 2 or 3 cheap plastic ones which dominate the Philippines! Outside pool areas are very nice, and also well kept. There is a long pool slide for "big" people, and another pool for smaller people. All pool areas have attendants on duty, which is good. I have been to a few of these types of resorts, and this is my favorite. They are NOT places to go for a week long break. They are for 1 night or 2. Food is limited, but I was surprised at how "acceptable" the breakfast was. Most everyone coming to these places take their own food. There are also BBQ areas which are free to use. Very important for me is that I took beer and ice! Beer is not available! All in all, me and the family did enjoy, and we WILL be back.

Pool water is clean, reasonably priced rooms, and friendly staff
Came here with friends. We stayed in a deluxe room. The room was spacious with a big pool view balcony. My only complaint was there was the television had no cable but that wasn't much of a problem as we had activities to do outside. The pools were clean and the waterslides were fun. We also tried the zipline and airbike. Would like to commend the friendly kuyas who assisted us on the zip line and air bike.
