Great place to relax
Although we didn't stay in the accommodation at Turublien (they were completely booked out!), we spent a lot of time relaxing around the bar and restaurant area on the front of the beach. The owner Alex is really amazing, and treats everyone like family, making sure you have everything you need. The drinks are really reasonably priced and the beach front area is really beautiful. All the best Alex!

If you want to be one with Nature then this is the best place to be. Less touristy but same pristine long beaches, fresh delicious seafood, exciting island tours and of course friendly locals. The rooms are basic but everything you need is here. Water pressure is good, fan rooms are comfortable with clean sheets and soft pillow. Just remember to bring mosquito repellant all the time.😍

A unique and budget friendly place on Long Beach San Vicente
Our stay at Turublien was great! The guest house is located next to Long Beach, crossing a river (mosquitoes ;-). It's budget friendly, so don't expect luxury rooms but good enough for the price. The staff is friendly and gave us a warm welcome. Meals are good, although they sometimes lack of products and the quantities are a bit less compared to other places. The chilling/restaurant-bar area is just awesome. What a view! Great place for adventure. I would just recommend them to make something for the air flow in the bathroom. First time I see a bathroom with strictly no opening (no window, no airflow vent) so it's rotten very fast. I will certainly come back! Thanks for the stay.

Almost heaven, but not quite
This is the ultimate idyllic location. At the end of the road running south along Long Beach, Turublien is a rustic cluster of nipa huts and panag buildings fronting directly on the second-longest beach in Asia, which at this point is still completely unspoiled. The owner is dedicated to preserving the genuine flavour of what was originally a remote fishing community. The name means "heritage," and he is the only one of the landowners along this stretch of coast who has not sold their land to the resort developers that have big plans for the beach. So it is a complete mystery to me why he lets the blissful silence and solitude be disrupted by loud music from the "lounge" area-- and that prompts guests to return equally noisily to the dormitory building, so with the thin bamboo walls the combination may make sleep impossible till midnight. Due to the remote location, there are no alternatives for food, so guests must purchase the good, but slightly over-priced, food from the on-site kitchen. Also, though there is excellent cell-phone service, Internet is poor and restricted to the area around the bar. Those problems aside, this is a rare bit of unspoiled beauty, and though I am not usually a fan of beaches myself, I would return if travelling in Palawan again. There are not many places left like this.

Could be so much better!
Turublien is on the utterly stunning Long Beach. Access to the rooms is by a small boat across the river, which is fun but was difficult whilst we were there due to the rain. There isn't enough shelter for everyone to go on the beach in bad weather whilst waiting to cross. Alex was a very welcoming host, and he is keen to make sure everyone has a good time. However, our room definitely needed work, as the washbasin was missing from the bathroom and the toilet seat was broken. Everything else about the room was basic but fine. There is a nice seating area in the accommodation block. As I have said, the beach is beautiful, but sadly spoilt with all the litter lying around, rusty bottle tops and cigarette ends in the sand, piles of bottles and rubbish. I tried to do some litter picking but got defeated by the amount! The cooking facilities and beach toilets desperately need upgrading / cleaning. Simple is good, grubby is not! Also be aware of the sandflies on the beach if you are prone to being bitten. I got eaten alive!! This resort has enormous potential, it just needs work.
