If you are traveling with pets, you will need to make alternative arrangements for them or consider booking a different accommodation that explicitly welcomes animals. It's always best to confirm the pet policy directly with the hotel if you have any doubts, but for Victoria SOHO Suites, the guideline is clear: no pets are permitted on the premises. Familiarizing yourself with the check-in requirements beforehand can save time.

If you anticipate arriving earlier than the 14:00 check-in time, it's a good idea to contact the hotel in advance to inquire about the possibility of early check-in or luggage storage. While not always guaranteed, some hotels can accommodate early arrivals if rooms are available. This allows you to start exploring the area or relax without your luggage. The hotel staff can provide guidance on what options might be feasible for your specific situation.

If you have a later flight or need additional time, inquire with the front desk about the possibility of a late check-out. While often subject to availability and potentially an additional fee, it can be a valuable service for those needing a few extra hours. Luggage storage services may also be available if you wish to explore more of Taguig after checking out.

Your Travel Guide to Taguig as a Filipino Traveler

How to Get to Taguig from Manila and Major Philippine Cities

For convenient booking, book flight tickets through Traveloka and compare fares across major airlines.

For travelers coming from other parts of the Philippines, flying into Manila is the most common and efficient method. Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) serves as the main gateway. From major cities like Cebu, Davao, or Iloilo, you can find numerous flights daily. Airlines like Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and AirAsia offer regular services. Booking flight tickets in advance, especially during sale periods, can significantly reduce travel costs, with fares often starting from PHP 2,000 to PHP 5,000 for round trips depending on the origin and booking time.

If you prefer land travel or are coming from nearby provinces, bus services are widely available. Major bus terminals in Metro Manila connect to various regions. For those already within Luzon, driving is also an option. Major expressways like the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and the Metro Manila Skyway provide access to Taguig. Toll fees can vary, but budgeting around PHP 300-500 for tolls from further points in Luzon is a reasonable estimate. The travel time will depend heavily on your starting point and traffic conditions.

Once you arrive in Metro Manila, whether by air or bus, you can utilize various transport options to reach Taguig. Taxis and ride-sharing services like Grab are readily available at airports and bus terminals. For a more budget-friendly option, you can use the LRT or MRT train systems and then transfer to a jeepney or bus heading towards Taguig. Planning your route using a navigation app can help you find the most efficient way, considering current traffic situations.

Best Time to Visit Taguig

The Philippines experiences a tropical climate, and Taguig is no exception. The best time to visit Taguig, and Metro Manila in general, is during the dry season, which typically runs from November to April. During these months, you can expect sunny days with lower humidity, making it more comfortable for outdoor activities and exploring the city. Temperatures usually range from 25°C to 35°C. This period is also popular for local holidays and festivals, adding cultural richness to your visit.

The wet season, from May to October, brings occasional to frequent rainfall, often in the form of heavy afternoon downpours. While this might disrupt some outdoor plans, it also means fewer crowds and potentially lower accommodation prices. If you don't mind carrying an umbrella and planning your activities around potential rain showers, visiting during this time can still be very rewarding. The lush greenery around the city also becomes more pronounced during the rainy months.

For a balance of good weather and manageable crowds, consider visiting during the shoulder months, such as November or February. These periods often offer pleasant weather without the peak season rush. Regardless of when you choose to visit, always check the weather forecast closer to your travel dates to pack appropriately and adjust your itinerary as needed.

Food and Dining Near Taguig — What Filipino Travelers Must Try

Taguig, like the rest of Metro Manila, is a culinary playground for Filipinos. You absolutely must try Adobo, the unofficial national dish. Whether it's chicken or pork, simmered in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and peppercorns, its savory and tangy profile is a true Filipino comfort food. Many restaurants in Taguig offer their own take on this classic, from traditional preparations to modern interpretations.

Another essential dish is Sinigang, a sour and savory soup, typically made with tamarind broth. It can feature pork, beef, fish, or shrimp, along with a variety of vegetables like kangkong, radish, and tomatoes. The distinct sourness is incredibly refreshing and pairs perfectly with steamed rice. Look for restaurants that serve it with your preferred protein for an authentic taste of home.

For those who enjoy grilled flavors, Lechon Kawali is a must. This is deep-fried pork belly that results in incredibly crispy skin and tender meat. Served with a side of soy-vinegar dipping sauce, it’s a dish that’s hard to resist. Many Filipino eateries and even some upscale restaurants in Taguig feature this popular item on their menus, offering a delightful crunch with every bite.

Don't leave Taguig without trying Halo-Halo for dessert. This iconic Filipino treat is a delightful concoction of shaved ice, milk, sweet beans, fruits, jellies, leche flan, and ube ice cream. It’s a perfect way to cool down and satisfy your sweet tooth. You can find variations of Halo-Halo in many local eateries and cafes, each offering a unique blend of textures and flavors.

Local Culture, Safety Tips, and Essential Apps for Taguig

Filipino culture is known for its warmth and hospitality. When interacting with locals in Taguig, a friendly demeanor and a smile go a long way. It's customary to show respect to elders, and using polite terms like "po" and "opo" when speaking to them is appreciated. While Taguig is generally safe, especially in areas like Bonifacio Global City, it's always wise to be aware of your surroundings, particularly in crowded public spaces.

When using public transportation or walking in busy areas, keep your valuables secure and be mindful of pickpockets. It’s also a good practice to avoid displaying expensive items openly. For emergencies, the national emergency hotline is 911. Having the contact numbers of your hotel and local authorities readily available can provide an added layer of security during your stay.

To enhance your travel experience in Taguig, several mobile applications can be very useful. Grab is essential for booking rides, food delivery, and even grocery shopping, making transportation and dining convenient. Google Maps or Waze are indispensable for navigation, helping you find your way around the city and avoid traffic. For communication, apps like WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger are widely used by Filipinos to stay in touch with friends and family.

Consider downloading a currency converter app if you're dealing with foreign exchange, and perhaps a translation app if you plan to venture into areas where English might be less commonly spoken, although English is widely understood in Taguig. These digital tools can significantly streamline your journey and help you navigate the city with greater ease and confidence.

The prior reviews about the cleanliness and cockroaches from the last 2-3 years are still accurate. Only stayed one night and had to leave due to the place being full of bugs. Apartment was also never fully cleaned. Lots of dust/dirt in cabinets. Place really needs a proper reset. Good location and nice view so shame the rest is not up to standard. Pool was also out of order Mar 2026.

The personnel we met was friendly and respectful. The place is ok but the kitchenette is way to small for 3-4 people. There is not enough storage for preparing meals. We saw small cockroaches on the kitchen counter! Unfortunately, we will not go back at this condo again.

The apartment is not too bad aesthically. The problem is there are too many cockroaches. Spraying with baygon is not sufficient. Professional pest control treatment is absolutely necessary as there were 5 cockroaches in less than 24 hours. 2 in the kitchen and 3 in the loft area including the bedroom. Had to cancel and leave asap.

Where to starts... First, the check in. We arrived at 7.30pm (not too early I believe...), and we still had to wait for 20min downstairs before going up the unit as the accommodation wasn't ready. The apartment itself is well located, 10 to 15 min walk from all the shops in BGC, but that's all for the positive points. It's advertised as a 2 bedrooms apartment. Well, I guess I'll have to review my definition of a bedroom. There is indeed 1 room, but for the 2nd one it's basically just a bed in an alcove, along a corridor, absolutely not a bedroom. The apartment itself is furnished in a very cheap way, and the place is pretty much falling apart (from fossetts dislocated, electric plugs falling from the wall, toilets getting clogged a couple of times a day). There was only one set of linen provided for the main room, but no change (we were staying 5 days...) and no bed sheet for the second bed. Bathroom towels were provided (one for each person), but again no change available, and not even a hand towel for the toilet (which came with a generous but lonely one toilet roll). Only one key was provided, which is very inconvenient when 2 people are staying in the apartment. Overall, one of the worst experience ever, TO BE AVOIDED AT ALL COST!

The property was very nice and it’s in a very safe neighborhood. All the restaurants and stores are walking distance and there’s also a convenience store right downstairs.

The personnel we met was friendly and respectful. The place is ok but the kitchenette is way to small for 3-4 people. There is not enough storage for preparing meals. We saw small cockroaches on the kitchen counter! Unfortunately, we will not go back at this condo again.

The property was near the BGC Greenway where I was able to walk everyday I was there. It was like walking in the forest because of the plants and the trees. It's near shopping centers.

TV wasn’t working. Cockroaches in the bathroom and cupboards. Stairs doesn’t have railings. Only good thing is it’s near the airport.

We had difficulty locating the building that this room was located. None of the buildings were marked. It was a lucky guess that we ended up in the right building. The concierge was very helpful.
