Sloppy and dirty hotel
We found the hotel so bad that we transferred hotels right after checking in (and examining the rooms) despite not getting a refund for the first booked night. We couldn't stand it. My friend had rashes on her back when she lied down on the bed. The towels had an unpleasant smell. The bathrooms looked so dirty. And the location was not that good-- it was very noisy and dense. Although their rates are cheap and we shouldn't expect much from it, I don't think this kind of accommodation is justifiable for their price since we found another hotel that was superb but had the same price range.

Victoria suites / PJ Suites
Firs thing is it's changed names now called PJ Suites. A budget hotel, you get what you pay for. I stayed in the ground floor in what's known as a family room. It's big enough for me and probably ok for two adults. Hot water ? Well it's not cold but definitely not what I call hot. Friendly staff. In the heart of Divisoria, local bars and restaurants dotted about. Malls are just about walkable distance, I do it when it's not too hot. It can be a bit noisy on the ground floor, but if you request some quiet, you can usually get.

Regular Rooms or Poor rooms? ︶︿︶
They should really change the names of the regular rooms into poor rooms. I have made a bad decition in staying here 2 times. the location is far from the malls, (i had to pay 80 pesos for the taxi every time i go to ayala) The corridors need more lighting, (it looks like it came out from a murder scene ) The regular rooms are are small which i wouldnt have mind if IT HAS WINDOWS ( which of course it does NOT have) The bathroom is very dirty(moldy floors and un clean mirrors ) Not to mention the not white towels (very unhygienic) And i can hear the noise from the room beside mine (yes i can hear the sex sceams too) i mean would it kill them to at least put us 1 room apart? Its not like its full! The only things That's good is the free breakfast that offers banggus (which was not available in my 1st time there) This hotel needs a major make-over.

Good value for the money
A luxury hotel this is NOT. But don't let that hold you back from booking at Victoria Suites. If you are traveling on a budget (as I do) and you are looking for a place that is clean and safe, then book here without hesitation. The staff were friendly and helpful. The WiFi worked most of the time. There is no restaurant to speak of but it is downtown and you can easily find the normal assortment of Jolllibees and MacDonalds nearby. There is a noisy gathering place across the street for the locals, so ask for a room away from the street. I would go back the next time I am in CDO.
