We had a nice stay at this villa. Friendly staff. However we were very disappointed to find out the pool was not available to use and the WiFi did not work for our entire stay. We should have been notified about this before our arrival.

Great service / Beautiful place / Too pricey
On the plus side: great service. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and requested to have a special diner made for us. With limited ressources on the island, the staff went out of their way to make us a nice diner and decorate the room for us. The place was new, clean and trendy. We loved it. On a negative side: we think they overcharged us for the diner and the Villa Price... around 240$/night as we booked from Canada. Once we were in the Philippines, the price dropped. This gave us a sour taste! The pool never worked. The water was not save to bathe in. They offer "complimentary" breakfast to compensate for the usable pool... Sad breakfast: "a piece of dry toast, jam and a banana". Seriously, for over 200$ a night for the Philippines, this was a ripped off! A short 2 minutes walk from the Villa is the "beach". Beautiful view from far but full of garbage. It is suitable for bathing. A nicer beach is around 15 minutes walk along the shoreline. The place is situated outside of Elnido town but easily accessible by tricycle. 20-30php. Would I recommend this place? Not at 240$ / night. But for sure it is beautiful...

Poor value for money
Pool was unusable. Breakfast was inedible. No ac working the first night in one of the rooms. Bugs all over one of the rooms which the staff replied "again!" when we told them about it. Apparently there were a problem with the bugs before we checked in, however we were placed in the room anyway. Only given two towels between the 4 of us and when we asked for more we were given two face cloths- said they needed to buy more from the market, even though the hotel was empty. Only plus is that the staff are friendly and allowed us to cut our stay short as we could no longer stay at the hotel. I wouldn't be so picky if the place was reasonably priced, but we were paying £140 a night, which is high for Southeast Asia. We moved to a cheaper place ( less than half the price) which was a better standard. Definitely not worth the price!

7 nights - worth it
A lot of people complain about the food and other small things but let me tell you that this place is really great for people who aren't full of crap. First off, it's not in El Nido town itself, it's a bit out from town toward Las Cabanas beach. Don't let that stop you. We took tricycles regularly for an average of 60 php. I can't say much about their breakfast, it's overpriced for what you get, so better that you eat somewhere else. There are lots of places that you can go to that are within a 15-20 minute walking radius - towards town side. The rooms are pretty bare, but thats part of the decor. This is not a 5 star place so don't complain about trivial things like that. The power goes out regularly in El Nido, luckily they have a generator so that you can use the wall sockets and the fan inside your room. AC is small and takes about 2 hours to get room to comfortable temperature so use the fan, it works and its awesome. The pool is more like an over-chlorinated pond so try to avoid it. The reason why I am giving Villa Dali is because of the service we received. Sharmaine - Manager. Never said no and gave us a late check out on our last day as we had a late flight. Manu - Receptionist. Cool guy who helped whenever we needed it. Raniel and Joseph. Maintenance and all-round superstars. When something went wrong in the room like the toilet or light bulbs they were there within a few minutes to sort it out. Also they helped us organise our trips and other activities. Jhane and Joseline - cleaners. They made sure our room was clean and always lent a helping hand. Villa Dali is an affordable, cosy little place where the staff do their utmost to make sure that you are as comfortable and happy as possible. I really recommend them to anyone who is looking for awesome people who will do their best to look after you.

It's an absolute sham and way overpriced. You'd be better off going to a backpackers. They regularly run out of water (i.e. No shower or flushing toilet, let alone drinking water). After we checked in they told us they had no water in their tank but it would be delivered in minutes - it took 3 hours, then had run out again hours later. They also seem to only be newly established - still under construction and rooms are very bare minimal. The air conditioning broke overnight, the wifi is very poor strength - drops in and out - and their pool is more like a pond that you cannot swim in.

Short stay in El Nido
The place is nice and clean but in fact there are not too many signs and not every tricycle driver knows it. Our place was not having any view. Above our room was a kind of kitchen place where the average breakfast was served. So you need fellow guests being silent when going up there as the wooden stairs crack loud inside your room. Staff was very nice and helpful at any time.
