Disappointed in badly smelly room, no hot water and one morning - no water at all.
Staff were lovely and tried to help but even the rose diffuser they eventually supplied couldn't cope with the rotten stagnant water smell in the room. I think it came from the air-conditioner and was incredibly bad. Every piece of clothing has had to be washed twice since I got home to get rid of the smell. The cockroaches were prevalent as well. Not sure how an older person could manage the stairs to the beach either - they are unbelievably high steps. No hot water was available in the shower and no water at all for one morning. Very disappointed considering how expensive this place was in comparison to other places we stayed.

Beautiful beach...is it worth the $$ to stay here?
This is just our experience and others might feel otherwise; We arrive from Bohol in a private boat to this beach. And its beautiful the water quality of the beach is amazing. We went to the reception to check-in and they were somehow not expecting us there and we had to share the booking details. (which is alright.. no issues).. Went to the room and it's pretty disappointing because: 1. The floor was oily. They do have room massages and i don't think so they cleaned it properly. The service staff then cleaned it. (And gave us some towels) 2. They do have fridge in the room but it's not connected and it's empty. When you travel from far, it's nice to at least have chilled water. 3. They provide us give 3in1 nescafe' but the water boiler plus is not compatible with the power socket that they have. ( you can prolly asked them for international adapter but we did't bother). 4. No wi-fi in the room (Millennial's prob) Then we went to the beach.. it's beautiful but please be careful because it's not treated. It has sandflies. Happen to be while we were there the restaurant only serves chicken. They don't have any other choice of meat and this is because ' the management did't get them'. Which is alright i guess so we booked a dinner place elsewhere via their reception. When we were ready to go, we ere informed that: 1. For our own safety, it's best not to travel at night ( you should have told me earlier bro..like while i booked it). 2. They do not have any tuk2 or any driver or any services of this kind to accommodate any guests. So if you are there 'YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN" So we are back to the restaurant with 8 choices of chicken dish.. was quite nice. Nothing is really a big deal here but what is disappointing is the price of the stay/room is way higher than any other hotels around (almost + 40%-50% ) and the offerings in terms of services/facilities is really poor. For the price that we paid we could get a hotel with better facilities and service staff. All said the mango shake was really good!!

Fantastic place to visit
The place is totally superb. From the service, food, cottages, room and of course the beach. It was a very relaxing place with a nice overlooking sea view. The cottages which are native huts were so perfect as it is seated on top of the rocks in front of the sea. Our room was great as we didnt expect that it is that big in size as well as the bathroom area.Food was soooo good and the staffs were so accommodating. We will visit here again for sure.

stop over before butanding adventure
we arrived arround 10pm the receptionist was already waiting for us. ahe gave us the family room with 3 beds and a kitchen. it was cozy enough for we are 6 adults and 3 child. the problem was the lighting in the room was very dim. you have to park on the other side of the road. 6k for a family room fair deal. early in the morning we head to oslob to view the butanding. then went back to the resort just before lunch time. just in time for us to check out. beach front was OK white sand. food a little bit pricey.

Wrong choice for us
They Weren't expecting us even after we booked our cottage months in advance. They gave us the one room which was available and totally unprepared. Couldn't find remotes to AC, fridge was turned off, mini bar didn't exist. Upon our arrival, there was a wedding and we weren't informed about it. They made us pass through wedding guests with our luggage after treating us poorly at the gate. It took 5 hours to get to from Cebu and to our shock it honestly wasn't worth it. We had to keep asking for everything we needed: Wifi password, when and where breakfast was, power adapters ( as they were the only hotel we had come across in the Philippines without International wall sockets). There were no Clothe dryers or hangers which is very rare for a beach room or cottage. They asked us how many nights we were staying as they had absolutely no idea. And as they had been drinking from the wedding they took turns asking us the same questions. This place has a great reef just 1.5m away from its beach shore and there were hundreds of people here mostly in families staying the day here just in the beach. I guess it's good for families just wanting to chill during the day, but for the type of hotel we wanted this place just wasn't for us. We had been spoilt by the legendary Filipino hospitality and here it was more of a Feel-At-Home DIY experience. The restaurant closes at 8pm and the bar not long from then. But they called to remind us to come for dinner in time which is kind of them. The staff and owner are nice and friendly willing to offer their Filipino opinion on how to get things done. It's so close to the whale shark watching Center (45 minutes by aircon bus) and 3-4 hours away from the Badian Canyoneering however they have no tour partners. You'll have to organise your tours yourself. The hotel is nice, good room, great beach but it has much progress to do especially as they have to justify their ridiculous prices
