The place is great and well maintained.
I think they prioritize the foreigners very well but the locals poorly
1st time to book a hostel. it was amazing. the design was so minimalist. Clean. Safe. Honest. and roofdeck party til 4am to socialize and talk to fellow backpackers
I think Z Hostel is the best hostel in Makati!
Friendly and helpful staff. The room and beds were clean too!
Very accommodating. Will come back again.
A really nice hostel in Makati. The bedroom is very clean as well as the bathroom. The staffs are also accommodating. Thank you for your hospitality.
I came to Makati for solo-traveling and I'm very happy to choose Z hostel during my stay. Everything is satisfying and I can't wait to be back next time.
The location is strategic, the staffs are very helpful and curteous, I arrived late at night but the still welcomed me warmly. Would love to be back!
The staffs are very friendly and helpful, the room is very clean and tidy, the price is also very reasonable. Overall highly recommended for backpackers.

Good Stay, But a Few Suggestions...
Clean, great location, friendly and helpful staff, and very good food (fantastic sizzling sisig). I do have some suggestions I will make here as to hopefully help improve the customer experience... Mainly because I think this is a business that cares about doing things the best way possible. Here are the suggestions: 1. Shoes off at the entrance to the rooms. A shoe rack outside will help do this and will keep the rooms considerably cleaner. 2. Moving the AC unit out from over one of the beds. To think that one person is getting blasted with the AC the entire night is kind of crazy. I felt bad for the person staying in that bed. 3. Install small fans in the beds / USB charging outlets. (quite cheap online) 4. For a hostel of this quality (and cost), shampoo and soap should be provided in the showers. It doesn't need to be of the highest quality, but thats a pretty standard thing for a hostel over $10 USD x night. 5. Shelving in the bathrooms so that people may place their toiletries / clothes their while they are showering. The small rack provided isn't really cutting it. 6. Something to soften the way the doors shut... I am a light sleeper and the sound of the door shutting (slamming) woke me up numerous times over the past few days. 7. Last thing... Not a big deal, but the fact there is a stripper pole in the lobby is kind of weird. If its not being used, I would suggest removing it. Overall my stay was quite good and I would have no problem staying again... 4.25/5.

Such a joy!
I visited Z hostel with two of my team mates after a sports tournament in Manila. We stayed two nights in a private room on the fifth floor. The room was nice, with clean linen, a comfortable mattress, a strong and hot shower, and the a/c allowed for a comfortable temperature. Breakfast buffet is basic but fine (toast with butter and jam, milk and cereal, fruit, coffee/tea). We had to catch an early flight home and they made us a doggie bag with a tuna sandwich, fresh fruit and water. They have a rooftop that is attended by many people, not just hostel residents, and it has a good vibe. The hostel organises activities so that people feel at home. One point of feedback is the noise coming from the stairway, the door barely shuts out sounds. I still give this hostel 5 stars because everyth else is more than worth the price, and there are two bonuses. First of all the location is perfect, close to restaurants, bars, clubs, massage places, etc. Secondly the service is great. Staff is super friendly and helpfully and really make your stay smooth and pleasant. The receptionist Sarah even wrote us a farewell note attached to our take away breakfast! You should definetely try it out.

I stayed one week in z hostel and i couldn't sleep one day, even in the day the are bulding and making noise all day!! So after not sleeping on the night becouse of the loud music is also not possible to sleep on the day... They have a rooftop bar/club that is just on top all the private rooms... is full of locals and noisy staff... The price is very high for the rooms they offer... Very High !!! Woudn't recomend even a night here... U can it check by yourself... Good luck !!!

Z Hostel is comfort and party, with class!
The staff is helpful and very cooperative! Without a glance of inquiry or judgment, they have accommodated my shamefully odd requests: whether renting out duct tape and scissors for two whole nights; or asking them to hold my leftovers in their fridge. Not only that, the owners and managers at Z have a remarkable ability of making guests feel genuinely welcome, of making you feel that you belong to a club—the Z club! The upbeat and professional demeanor of the management seems to attract quality guests as well! I’ve stayed with Z Hostel twice now, a week long each time, and everyone I’ve met there were warm, optimistic, polite! The dorms at Z are simply put, the best! Spacious, well-lit, clean—here is a dorm that was designed to be lived in! So wide, so comfortable—it is a very rare hostel dorm room where I actually WANTED to stay in to work, read, and write! There was also plenty of storage space for my luggage—everywhere, helpful hooks and shelves and cabinets and clothes hangers to organize my belongings in a way that makes me feel that I am living there—and not simply crashing there in between excursions! My favorite space to sit and write was this lovely, modern vanity table in the female dorm room, bright flash bulbs lined up around a big mirror, that made me feel like a Hollywood hopeful putting on my makeup before getting out on stage! There isn’t any need to mention the basics: a spanking clean bathroom (cleaned every day), warm water with good pressure, and good (Youtube-able) Wifi! The location is frankly perfect for a slow traveler like myself. It is short walking distance to a chill entertainment and dining area called Poblacion—where ambitious and high-spirited locals mingle and share their visions! It is even shorter distance to some truly great activity centers: martial arts gyms, dance classes, even a performing arts studio, for the traveler that likes to experiment or stay light on their feet! Within just 5 minutes walking distance I’ve found: Flamenco dance, contemporary dance and ballet classes, Muay thai and MMA (you get a Z Hostel discount off their already low price!), a capoeira group, opera singers, a great Brazilian jiu-jitsu group (though truth be told, this one was more like a 10 minute walk), and of course, salsa nights! Z Hostel itself is also a popular mingling center! Here in my pajama’s, I’ve met other guests, but also local artists and professionals while chit chatting downstairs in the lobby or swaying to music at the rooftop lounge!

Z Hostel a amazing place to stay in the Philippines
Z Hostel a amazing place to stay in the Philippines 🇵🇭 just want to say thank you to all the staff who works at Z Hostel from the receptionist & security staff & bar staff to the staff who clean the rooms I had such amazing time staying at this hostel. All the staff are very friendly and very happy to help you when I asked about some questions of flights to other islands. They help me book the flights and the hostel/hotels to the other islands what I wanted to go and visit in the Philippines 🇵🇭. Z hostel is for all ages are looking to go on holiday or travel around the Philippines 🇵🇭 This hostel has got a private rooms or if you do not mind sharing bormitory what has got bunk beds they have got this type of staying at this hostel/hotel as well and if you are travelling for a long time it is a way how you can save money staying at a hostel. Z hostel has got a small restaurant as well the staff are very friendly inside there they have got breakfast in the morning lunch and dinner and if you need a snack through any time of the day The prices of the food are quite reasonable if you are on a budget. They have got a bar on top of the roof what goes into a nightclub on certain days and the music stops at a certain time of the night for people who want to go to sleep early or who does not like noise that much but if you like to party there is place not to far the hostel/hotel you can go to. I have stayed in a lot of hostel and hotels and I have got to say said hostel is been capped very modern and in very good condition inside the hostel. Z hostel offers free Wi-Fi when you are staying at the hostel you can use it in your private rooms all anyway in the building it is very good Wi-Fi connection 😃🤙 The location of the hostel is great as well you can get everywhere from the hostel quite easily. Z hostel does offer a lot more services you just need to ask the reception staff will help you any time I've got to say they are very helpful very polite and if they can help you they will help you with any other services they provide. One thing I would say they need to do is in the private rooms they should have a TV inside each one of the private rooms that is my only recommendation of this hostel/hotel.
