Focus Hotel Katowice Chorzow

Didn’t get the VIP perks. Good location for easy stop for tram. However it can be noisy if room overlooking the tram tracks. Also lot of party people at the hotel. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Great choice, fast resupply of items, large choice. Fresh and delicious. Rooms are spacious. Also a gym and a dry sauna.

All good except for the lady serving in the restaurant. Straight from the communist period. I was the only client there and I felt like I was not welcomed. Other staff was super nice.

The bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom were spotless, and the little tea/coffee area was very helpful. I don’t know if the people in the room above me were practicing a gymnastics routine or testing basketball inflation, but if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs as the surrounding guests can be heard.

Everything works as before. Sauna, buffet breakfast, and all the other things you may need during your stay. Air conditioning is good and so the same is the bathroom. The hotel is not new anymore, therefore no fancy interior, but you can live without it.

Very nice hotel with sauna facility and good breakfast options. Hotel’s parking is very spacious, although staff is quite slow.

The Focus hotel is conveniently located. Because of a wedding the first night of our stay and the location of our room, we did not get much sleep. Our suggestion to management was to book those not attending the wedding at the opposite side of the hotel. We only received a “sorry”. Another night there was very loud music until after midnight. Other hotels ask for quiet after a certain time. This would be appreciated.

Our room was nice, clean and comfortable. Staff and services I found quite lacking, breakfast wasn't very good quality and very expencive by local standard.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Despite our reservation being for 2 people, we usually had just 1 bath towel and hand towel. The staff was helpful in calling for taxis for us. Breakfast was good.

Recently, on short notice, my wife and I traveled to Poland for an official visit. We made the reservation via Expedia.com at the Focus Hotel Katowice-Chorzow for one week at the end of the month of May. Upon our arrival we were informed that the central cooling system was out of order, but that spare parts had already been ordered. From my travel experiences this is typically an issue that is resolved quickly at a hotel and did not raise any alarms for us at check-in. We also made a reservation to host a meeting at the hotel with a large group of attendees and had already sent out official invitations. Regrettably, the room temperature was 28 0C [82.40F] and despite a very long and arduous International journey, we had an extremely uncomfortable and sleepless night. As I pointed out, the purpose of our trip to Poland was in an official capacity that required formal daily attire; having to dress properly while exhausted from the heat and being continuously sweaty presented a real challenge. We complained the following day and the desk manager offered another room, with basically the same temperature. At that moment, we requested a fan for our room as a temporary solution. Unfortunately, this situation continued until our departure. We feel that the agreement between guest and hotel was not fulfilled as it should have been. Two problems during the stay: 1. Wifi was very poor - reported it to staff who said someone might come to fix it the next day. Barely worked in the room during our 3 day stay. 2. Room key was incorrectly made twice - had to make a trip to the reception 3 times to get the key replaced.

The only one positive thing was the bed - very comfortable.. Small, old bath towels, no small fridge in the room, paper tea /coffee cups, the walls in the bedroom and bathroom dirty and cracked, room in general very tired could do with a paint. Our room wasn't cleaned on the first day. The reception staff not apologetic at all when reported that our room wasn't cleaned. Disappointed

I visit this hotel very often and it serves the best service. Clean, comfortable, serves good food and is in reasonable price. I am sure I will come back! :)

I visit this hotel regularly for two years and everytime it suprises me how amazing it is :) I would rather say that it is not 3 star hotel, because you can feel there like in 5 star one. Rooms are always clean, bedding is soft and beds are extremely comfortable. Restaurant serves hearty and tasty meals in very good price. The only thing You may find inconvenient is localization, but if only You are traveling by car this problem may vanish. Highly recommend!

there was no slippers, and should be more cushion on the bed. The fee of the animal is too big.
