Very clean, good staff, great place to stay. Only negative was no thermostat, so opening the window was the only way to cool the room.

I stayed at this hotel in Bragança and had a very disappointing experience. The air conditioning was nonexistent, which made the summer heat unbearable. I got stuck in the elevator for a few minutes, and the hallway lights on my floor were off at night, which felt unsafe. The TV signal kept cutting in and out, and to make things worse, the gym was advertised as free, but they charged for access after 6 PM—something they don’t mention upfront. While the staff were friendly and the room was clean, the hotel is in poor condition overall. Cleanliness alone doesn’t make up for the lack of basic amenities. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially during the warmer months.

I had a fantastic stay at Axe São Lázaro! The hotel offers excellent service, a comfortable atmosphere, and a convenient location. The staff were friendly and attentive, and everything from the rooms to the amenities was well-maintained.

The room was very modern and comfortable. It was very big, much more than what one would expect in a 3 star hotel. The beds were very comfortable and it has power plugs all over the place. It even has a kettle and tea, which I don't normally expect for hotels at this price level outside of the UK. Instead of a bath tub, the bathroom has a walk-in shower, which is a great option, unless you're craving for an immersion bath. The thing that looked cheap were the plastic cups instead of glass cups. Finally, and very important, the staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly, which is expected in the region. Overall, this hotel represents an excellent value for the price. It is not exactly cheap, but the price is very low for the quality.

The hotel appeared to be more interested in coach groups than individual travellers. On our first night, we made a reservation for dinner having previously looked at the a la carte menu displayed at the entrance to therestaurant. On being shown to our table we were presented with a single sheet menu which had one starter, two mains and a buffet dessert. When I queried this I was told that they had a number of coach parties and that the kitchen staff were unable to offer the a la carte menu. Reluctantly we chose from this restricted menu. I chose baked chicken which was dreadful and I told them to take it away. After 5-10 minutes the waiter came back to tell us that we could have our choice of the A la carte menu after all. Only one coach party appeared in the restaurant but were seated in a area away from my wife and I. There was only one other couple in the restaurant dining some way from us. I don't know which menu they ordered from but they didn't stay long. We didn't and wouldn't have dinner there again. In fact, we wouldn't even stay at this hotel again.

Very satisfying. Comfortable and clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful hotel employees, good food in the hotel restaurant and excellent service. Specific rates for rooms were excellent.

O hotel é espetacular. Os quartos são amplos e modernos, café da manhã muito bem servido com bastante opções, os funcionários atenciosos. Só temos a elogiar e agradecer.

A bit disappointing comparing with the photos … First of all, the spa are is outside of hotel, and was not clean, only the suana was open. Secondly, the quality of breakfast was poor for a 4 star hotel. Lastly, this hotel is more for tour organizers and you can be unlucky to wait 10 minutes for a elevator because 40 persons are waiting…

Prima hotel maar wel wat gelegen buiten het centrum van Braganca . Zwembad was gesloten en het gebruik maken van de sauna had wel wat voeten in de aarde. Hotelkamer was prima!

Fiquei neste hotel 3 noites, num quarto remodelado e agradável, a limpeza estava excelente, os funcionários não eram simpáticos nem antipáticos, estavam bem organizados para o pequeno almoço e cumpriram as regras de segurança (covid 19). O pequeno almoço tinha alguma variedade, mas falta um pouco de qualidade, mesmo a nível de pão etc. O Hotel é de 3 estrelas, mas existe hotéis de 2 estrelas com a mesmas condições, excepto piscina. A piscina é pequena e as espreguiçadeiras estavam muito junto uma das outras, mas entendo porque o espaço é pequeno, não da para todos. Acabei por não usufruir da piscina. Fui para a praia fluvial do Azibo, que é espectacular.

Nunca pensei nadar com rãs. A piscina fica fora do hotel e não têm condições. Encontrei cabelos no ralo do chuveiro e a limpeza não era muito evidente. Funcionários muito simpáticos e prestáveis. Não recomendo.

O hotel é razoável, mas o preço praticado é manifestamente inflacionado em relação à qualidade do que é oferecido. O staff é simpático e o quarto satisfatório, mas o ar condicionado era antiquado e ineficaz para ajuda a suportar a canícula de Bragança. Fomos informados de que um técnico estaria a resolver o problema, mas a verdade é que ele persistiu durante a nossa estadia. O pequeno-almoço era correto, mas as restrições COVID provocaram demoras no serviço, agravadas pelo facto de apenas uma funcionária receber os pedidos dos muitos hóspedes que afluem à sala em cada turno. No segundo dia, uma fila enorme à entrada da sala fez-nos desistir do pequeno-almoço incluído na tarifa e simplesmente ir tomá-lo na cidade. Em suma: trata-se de um hotel mediano que pratica preços exagerados para os serviços nem sempre profissionais que oferece. Não é assim que se atraem mais turistas a Bragança...
