Our stay was just perfect, from check in to the minute we left. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Clean, well kept property. Very comfortable room. We loved the detail of the handwritten welcome note, the courtesy bottles of water in the room and the Nespresso coffee machine. The daily breakfast buffet that was included was top notch. And let’s not forget the special Fado evening in the dining room. Superb! If you are looking to stay in a most historic and quaint part of Lisbon, this should be the hotel for you. Word of caution; good walking shoes require. This is the hilly part of Lisbon. Expect steep streets and lots of stairs. We hope to return soon!

We were originally given a room that look like it still hadn't been upgraded even though the photos on Expedia showed upgraded rooms. We did have to sleep there overnight before they changed us to an upgraded room which made a big difference because the old room had white walls and very dirty carpet

Stayed at this hotel in the heart of the old town. The building has real character, which is charming, but our first room was dated with old carpet and plain white walls. They moved us the next day to a much nicer room with painted walls and wood floors. However, the plumbing was poor and the tub drained slowly. AC struggled to keep the room cool, and the tiny window offered only partial views of the alley and a distant castle. Location is perfect if you want to be surrounded by tourists, traffic, and busy waiters, but if you're seeking a quieter, more cultural experience, look elsewhere. Good for a budget high-end stay, but expect some quirks

Location was fabulous. Streets can be noisy but that's not uncommon for a city stay in a central location. So if you're a light sleeper I wouldn't recommend, even if you're on a high floor, it echos up very loudly. Modern slick and clean styling in the hotel and the team on reception were friendly and helpful. The restaurant looked good, but we didn't try it, nor the breakfasts. Aircon was dreadful, it blew out like a mouse fart and barely operated plus it wouldn't go below 18 degrees so it felt like 20+ degrees at all times in the room, a little uncomfortable! Cleaning function felt 'lazy' - they didn't come to the room until 4pm / 5pm each day which was right in the middle of us getting ready to go out for the evening after being out all day exploring. Had to ask for the cleaners to turn the room whilst we waited downstairs. Not ideal. The TV had several UK movie channels which was brilliant. We're heading back to Lisbon, and the area again soon as there's so much to explore.

Overall, this hotel is in a great location, and the front desk staff were extremely kind. Breakfast each morning was also very enjoyable. My disappointment began when I entered my room and found a dirty, brown, wet towel hanging in the bathroom. It was on the same hook as the robes, which appeared unused. Because the robes were still tied, it seems likely that housekeeping didn’t take a closer look and therefore missed the towel hanging over one of them. This raised a larger concern for me: if something appeared clean or unused, it may not have been properly checked or replaced between guests. That left me feeling uneasy about whether other items, such as towels and sheets, had been thoroughly cleaned. I alerted management, and they promptly removed the towel and the robe. That evening, I returned to find an apology letter from a manager, along with a bottle of unlabeled sparkling wine in a bucket of water and a piece of cake. While the gesture was kind and appreciated, the cake had been sitting out, and the wine was unidentified. Truthfully, as I was traveling alone, I wasn’t particularly interested in having a full bottle of wine in my room. Again, I do appreciate the thought behind the gesture, but I would have preferred a form of compensation that felt more practical or personalized.
