Clean and comfortable - great location within the walls

No coffee making facilities in room. Coffee was available in the former breakfast area the first morning but not the second. Selection of teas and small cake. Well located within city walls.

Amazing location and amazing staffs

It was wonderful to be inside the castle walls.

Walked up from the train station. Beautiful location. Initially confused as to where lobby/ check-in is located because of so many Pousada Vila Obidos signs, but once we located the proper entrance, our experience could not have been better. Pedro is an excellent employee, giving us suggestions, answering questions, seeing us walking along the street and ensuring we were doing well later in the day. Walking along the top of the wall is so fun and you must try a ginja!

It was a charming old place inside the wall. Literally steps to everything. The acient walls and its history, its worth the visit. The hotel is super clean and steps to good restaurants.

Beautiful hotel inside the wall right at one of the side entrances. Beautiful lobby area with outside patio, beautiful room with excellent bedding and remodeled bathroom with window facing the tower wall, x el lent breakfast buffet. Hotel gives you access to tour the tower palace since it belongs to the same group. They also offer a shuttle to the train station. The bus stop is only 7 minutes walk to hotel

We loved the hotel and the staff was wonderful!!

The property (and the full village as well) is beautiful but not good for people with limited mobility. Many stairs , no lift no close parking

Quaint hotel within the walls. The staff were excellent. A welcome bottle of water and of wine in the room were a lovely touch

Nice placa

Great location inside the castle walls, very easy to walk anywhere. Friendly and professional staff. Only warning is that parking is OUTSIDE the castle walls in a very public and dusty parking lot.

In the middle of everything amazing location! I do suggest you park in the free parking and walk to the hotel

Very hard to find property. They sent information about parking and said to park behind a business. There were no directions to that business and it did not show up on gps. Finally found the but lot, but it was closed for a special event and we had no idea where to park or how to get to property. They emailed a map of the town but it was very small and hard to read, and had no specific directions of how to find the specific property from the entrance to the walled area. The gps coordinates they sent did not work. We were able to find the castle and some very nice people at the castle hotel assisted us and helped us find the villa. Also: the villa was farther away than it appeared on the website. It said that it shared facilities with the castle property, but it was a few blocks away. Rooms were clean and nice. Would only recommend if they improve communication about location and parking. A simple map with highlighted buildings and parking lots would help. Directions to the parking area from the main roads would help. Communications about the parking lot being closed would help. It made it a very frustrating experience, and we are seasoned travelers.

Lovely boutique hotel in center of Óbidos. Everything here is top notch. Nice breakfast, too.

This property is nice and located in an unusual town/ place. However, our room had empty bottles left, a cat that followed us around (hubby is super allergic) and then was found on the dining table at breakfast time. The amount of "do it yourself" was a bit obnoxious. We would not have booked had we known how difficult it was to traverse the cobblestone with two large suitcases. Thankfully, they honored us having a ground room floor.

Very well maintained property. Comfortable and clean. Very helpful and friendly staff. Be aware many ubers will NOT leave you off at the Hotel but rather OUTSIDE the city wall and it is a confusing trek and can be treacherous if you get los with luggage trying to navigate stone streets. Call the hotel beforehand to get instructions. We had no problem getting picked up right in front when we left to catch our bus to Lisbon. Would love to stay here again

Beautiful space, well decorated and lovely bed linens. Breakfast had everything we might want. Great location in easy walking distance from parking option. So glad we stayed here.
