The location of tiny escape allows for a variety of adventures, whether you stay near the property or venture out to one of the many incredible destinations near tiny escape. Our first day, we hiked one of the many trails that are accessible right on the property. These hikes can be as short or long as you make them, and you can find lookout points that provide a panoramic view of the mountains and villages around the property. Our next day, we drove the easy 1 hour drive to the Douro valley to enjoy wine tastings at some of the many wineries available. For our next day trip, we explored Serra Da Estrela, Portugal’s highest mountain range. It was a two hour drive from tiny escape with incredible views along the way, making it well worth the drive. Beyond the many activities that the region has to offer, the hosts of tiny escape make sure that every guest has everything they need, and have included many thoughtful touches in each tiny home. When entering your home expect to be greeted with a basket of local wine and fruit, including oranges for fresh squeezed orange juice in the mornings. Our tiny home also had incredible views overlooking the valley, which we were able to take in each morning while enjoying a cup of espresso. Highly recommend this property for a unique and experiential stay!

What a cool experience. I stayed in their "Greece House" before their actual opening. It is airy, bright and the art is unique. It felt like I was staying in someone's home. I spent two nights there. April is a great time to be there; warm days and cool nights. The first day, I just explored the grounds. Some of the property is still, "wild." There are all of these old terraces and stone walls. Some of them have stairs to get to the next level. It's all kind of felt medieval. The second day I drove to Santar (Dão) and toured the gardens and tasted some great wines. The home had everything I needed. The kitchen is well-stocked and I'm addicted to the little cinnamon cake they put in my welcome basket. The bathroom is clean and I love the scent of their toiletries from Azzaro.
