Large rooms with good facilites. Decor using local materials. Very comfortable beds. Quiet room in spite of fronting the street. Slept really well. Excellent pools and very well maintained garden. Live music and good bar. The staff was outstanding.

Needed a road trip pit stop for my kids. I picked Vila Park for the pool and it did not disappoint. The pool was huge and deep! There was also a small kiddie pool we saw a baby enjoying. I was able to get a cocktail delivered to my seat and a complimentary chip snack as we sat. There was also a little play set with a zip line that was a great surprise for my girls who ran straight for it! The rooms were sizeable and clean. The staff was friendly and prompt. The breakfast selection was pretty good too. Vila Park was perfect for our needs.

We didn’t know the area but liked the hotel and the town. Met some very friendly people and shop owners. It is an out of the way area and we were pleasantly surprised by the town. The area beaches are spectacular.

We had a friend’s reunion at the Vila Park with all our kids and spouses. The hotel is spacious and clean, the swimming pool area is great for the kids. The staff is very friendly and polite and do try to attend to every request promptly. The swimming pool edge should have a bit of work as there is some very sharp material that can really scrape skin on the tiles around the pool. Other not so positive was the breakfast which had a good selection of food but was always running out and not getting restocked promptly enough. Overall we had a lovely stay!

We enjoyed staying at Villa Park. It was a stopping point on our way to south Portugal. Very clean, nice breakfast and the pool looked amazing!

Hotel was very nice, but the dining options are a 25 Euro buffet, or order from the snack menu at the bar, pizza, burgers and such by no later than 6 pm. 25 Euros is crazy for us as we eat very little. Not worth it. 6 pm was too eatly. Thankfully there is a decent little sandwich shop right across the street which suited us fine for the night at under 8 euros for the two of us including a beer and a wine. We don't mind paying more for a meal, but 25 euros for a buffet seems excessive, especially since we have had excellent a la carte meals for 15 to 20 euros. But the room was comfortable and the breakfast had a lot of options. So all in all it was a good choice. The bartender seemed a little challenged when serving, maybe he was new. He was difficult to communicate our orders with and made mistakes in pricing.

All was good, except there were bed bugs who bite our kid. That was unpleasant experience. Also during breakfast electricity went off, so we couldn't get any coffee or other foods requiring electricity.

Overall the property was good but the grounds could do with some upkeep. Also Vila Park was trying to charge us again stating our payment had not gone through to Expedia but we had evidence of payment to show them and advised the property to contact Expedia direct.

The staff was very nice, the breakfast is very varied and well served, the rooms are clean and the pool is great. The downside is maintenance. The room we were in had 2 TVs one worked fine the other said “weak signal” not a single channel. Above said TV there was a lamp that, die to some missing screws, was leaning agaist the TV set. Outside, in the playground for the mids, they have a slide, which is great, but the base for sitting was broken on the ground next to it.. with the proper care it can be great, as is, it’s good.

The hotel looks like a retirement house. A bit old from outside and worse inside. The room had a strong smell of cigarettes, though I had non smoking room. The same smell was coming out from air-con. Sleeping was OK. No safe. Breakfast had some options. NO traditional pastries such as pastel De nata. The pool was big and nice. That's probably the nicest thing about the hotel. As 4 star hotel it had no slippers, no robe, no safe, no toothbrush or body lotion. I would say it should be 2-3 stars.

A really nice hotel, located in a very odd area for this style of hotel. Heavily industrial with few touristy type attractions and limited eating places around. Just over the road is the biggest fire station you've ever seen, which is concerning and reassuring at the same time. Excellent facilities, good room, very good restaurant, easy check in and check out. Pleasant and helpful staff.
