Lovley staff, very clean, lovley view, very cosy and we was very happy.

Very noce hotel in a good place and in good situation, unfortunately people working there don't speak well english

It was very peaceful setting to spend three days just relaxing up in the Highlands. You definitely need some form to reach the hotel and if you want to eat out in the evening the nearest restaurant was about a 1/2 mile away. It was a bit too cool to use the pool, but it sure looked inviting.

Unique and wonderfully maintained property. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Short drive to town of Monchique and many amazing hiking options. Definitely recommend trying the PR9 hike which includes fantastic views and a really cool suspension bridge over a valley and river. Monchique is a nice change of pace from beach towns in the Algarve or the busy streets of Lisbon.

Amazing view all the way to Portimão! Room was comfortable and quiet, many nice lounging areas.

Quiet and lovely setting in the hills 💐. The grounds are well manicured. The staff are very friendly. Nice brkfst buffet. Great alternative to hub bub at the coast.

We had a blissful break in this unspoilt part of Algarve. Total peace in the hills overlooking the sea.

We had a great time staying in vilafoia, however we recomend that driving there is better than not having a car.

Absolutely wonderful. The location is phenomenal, so peaceful and tranquil. The staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. Local restaurants easily accessible. Clean, comfortable rooms and views just fantastic. Great breakfast. Will definitely be back soon. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Wonderful staff, inviting locale, and great views. Reserve the studio apartment and listen closely in the evening for the tawny owl. Spectacular!

What a find! Such a lovely intimate hotel , close to the mountains in gorgeous scenery. Staff were so friendly, we enjoyed a relaxing stay using the hot tub and chilling in our room. Delicious breakfast too!

Amazing and memorable family holiday at Vilafoia. From the swift response to our email queries before we had even left home, we were made to feel welcome and this was our experience throughout our stay from all the staff. The property is exactly as it looks in the pictures online - very beautiful, clean and well maintained throughout. Our rooms were spacious, with large balconies with beautiful views of the mountains with a glimpse of the sea in the distance. We enjoyed the pool and gardens which are lovely with plenty of comfortable seating dotted all around to enjoy the views and sunshine. Breakfast was delicious, varied and plentiful with a buffet of cereals, fresh fruit, cold meats, cheeses, delicious breads, and eggs made to order. We really appreciated the honesty bar - it was lovely to come back after a day out and sit in the gardens with a drink and star gaze. Prices of snacks and drinks was incredibly reasonable e.g 13 euros for a bottle of sparkling wine. Booking system for the wonderful hot tub is a great idea - we really enjoyed the experience of having it all to ourselves. Thank you so much to the Vilafoia team for making our holiday so special.
