W Algarve

The property was beautiful and secluded which made for a relaxing stay but the issue that brought the stay down was in hostility of the reception staff. Upon checking in, we were allocated a room with a patio that open straight onto the public walkway of the resort. We paid for a room with a balcony. We asked the reception staff if we could be given a room with a balcony like we paid for and we even said we were happy to moves rooms at any point in our stay. The room change didn’t have to be immediate. We were told there’s no possibility of moving rooms as the hotel was fully booked. We were made to feel like we were being unreasonable to ask. The response from the reception staff really soured our evening due to the hostility. In the morning (on my birthday) we tried to ask reception again about changing rooms as the room we had was not what we paid for and the room with a balcony was still available online to purchase for the same dates we were staying. Then to be told that they can’t authorise the request and they need to take the request higher up to a manager but in the middle of this conversation the phone rings and it’s the manager saying they’re cleaning a room for us at that moment. Magically there was a room available without ever having spoke to the manager. For the rest of the stay, we were treated like a nuisance by reception staff and it made for an uncomfortable stay and like we were inconveniencing them any time we asked for anything. We had other issues also

Beautiful hotel not a beach front hotel

Great property. It’s our second time and we enjoyed it again so much, The rooms are vast and airy, the decor is so Algarve, the bed is confortable, the pool is wonderful, the location is unbeatable,having a drink at AIR right by the beach was memorable. Dinner at sunset at PAPERMOON restaurant was delightful. The only complaint is that all the food us much too salty. Our group of 8 was unanimous. Super hotel but extremely salty food.

The property is fabulous ……but……the staff is extraordinary. I Tavel all over the world and have not met such accommodating and kind people who happen to be the staff of W Algarve. Thank you once again Eliana and her team. Simply brilliant!

Great staff, everyone was so nice. Restaurants were good, breakfast was delicious. Pool was lovely, no complaints!

Thank you to the wonderful team at the W Algarve who made my solo birthday trip a wonderful one. They allowed me to check in early and had decorated the room with messages and even gave me a little sweet treat. Nothing was too difficult for them to sort out and they went above and beyond for me. The room was very big, clean and the bed very very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic!! One of the best I’ve ever had in a hotel. The spa facilities were great and I had a wonderful detox massage. I can’t wait to return with my husband and family. Thank you for making my trip.

It’s always exciting and a pleasure staying at W Hotels. What we have noticed however is the least available options for non-Pork eaters at breakfast. We believe there being perhaps options such as chicken/beef sausages as opposed to only Pork..?! The house keeping was fantastic, aside from staff moving one or two of my wife’s items from where she originally left them (Nothing majorly serious 🙂).. With that said, we had a wonderful experience at The W and would most definitely comeback should we ever have the opportunity to visit The Algarve at some point in the near future. Obrigado…. Overall the experience was excellent. Really enjoyed the stay and made us feel at home. The Whatever/ Whenever team is amazing and they made our trip a memorable one. We wanted a quiet and relaxing holiday and we were pampered by all the Hotel staff. Every one of the staff were very friendly, always smiling and attending to our needs.

The W Algarve delivered all it ‘said in the tin’ and then some. For those like me who are always skeptical when reviewing the hotel provided pictures, I can say that the rooms, the surrounding, the facilities, and the pleasant staff are exactly as described and portrayed. I needed a end of summer refreshing retreat and break for my family of five and it delivered from the moment we walked in to our final goodbyes! Perfect way to end the summer break. Thank you W!

We stay at a lot of properties and many of them are the caliber of this one. However, your staff is A Plus and for this reason alone, we encourage other people to stay here… They represent your brain with the upmost professionalism. Thank You

The grounds and the friendly service

Amazing service, great location, friendly staff. Breakfast buffet had great variety.

Nice and clean room, perfect service! Limited dining options near by, needs to drive for around 30 mins.
