Hotel Koruna

I chose this hotel for two sensible reasons: the price and its location on what I assumed would be a quiet side street. The price was reasonable, but the quiet part… not so much. I had no idea the street would be louder than a bar itself, with the party carrying on enthusiastically until about 6:00 a.m. A solid option if you love nightlife; less so if you love sleep, my apologies to future early risers.

My mom and I were very happy with our experience at Hotel Koruna. Staff provided us with new towels every day and made our beds. This hotel is closer to new town and is about a 15-20 minute walk to a lot of the main attractions for tourists, but we are active people and don't mind the walk. I only include that in case anyone's reading for location purposes. There's a lovely cafe right downstairs and it's fairly close to Petrin Park and the Dancing House. We would stay here again!

Hotel Koruna’s only virtue is its decent location—everything else is a cautionary tale. I have little confidence any 5-star reviews are genuine. After a booking mistake and a long travel day with kids, we dropped by to check availability. The receptionist, Alina, assured us the Family Room with balcony was a nicer room. We booked at noon, returned 330pm (she said can access 3-4pm), and waited until 350pm to be told to return 45 mins later! We had a concert to attend so got back 7pm. What awaited us was shockingly bleak: a sterile, lifeless suite nothing like the photos. The “balcony” was a cramped trap facing concrete walls, with a filthy safety net below. Inside, a dim hallway linked three bare bedrooms—TV, bed, side table, that’s it. A tiny tiled “meal space” with mismatched furniture hinted it might’ve once been a bathroom. Windows were 1.7m from floor so no view! The hallway light flickered all night, with a loud click, ruining sleep. The bathroom was an army barrack setup - separate toilet, shoebox shower. My wife even hurt her finger on the cramped antique lift door. We complained to a second receptionist, Adelia, who promised a refund for unused nights after clearing it with her manager. She even confirmed our early checkout by text. Yet two days later, Hotels.com said Koruna denied any refund—and had already resold our dates!! Hotel Koruna lures with location but delivers false advertising, poor service, and rooms that feel more punishment than hospitality.

Room needs renovation. Windows don’t have sound protection - I was unable to comfortably sleep. Windows don’t have blackout curtains.

The hotel should be shut down or renovated! The services are poor, no desk service after 8 pm! No phone to call front desk, no shade for window with lamp blasting into the room, no WiFi - huge issue for airport check ins , ect….. also no TV service, property lier Expedia that they informed their customers! I got 3 emails with no info like this! I highly advise you , spend little more and go elsewhere! I myself am originally from the Czech Republic and clarify this is not a norm Or standard service! Awful experience

The staff were extremely friendly and gave good information. Location is brilliant and gift package in room is delightful. Only issue was there is no signal for the television.

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. When I walked into the room, I noticed there was no air conditioning, only a portable stand fan, which was insufficient to keep the room cool. The bathroom was dirty and had visible mold, which made me feel very uncomfortable. There was no refrigerator in the room, and to make things worse, I found a pot that was also dirty and had mold inside. Overall, I would not recommend staying here.

The room is surprisingly spacious, considering the nice quiet location close to the interesting region and the suppressed price. The structure is old fashioned, but the hotel seems to be managed perfectly well: the room is very clean and quite comfortable without any malfunctions of facilities.

There were insects crawling on the floor both under the bed and under the furniture. We came early and left our luggage and the receptionist said she would let us know if our room was ready early but she never contacted us.

Some of the room locks are very tricky to open, and having arrived late, it took me nearly an hour and help from another guest as there were no staff on site. That aside, my room was satisfactory for the single night I had booked

Nice hotel, simple no frills but clean and in a fantastic location for the centre of Prague. Good value for money.

The stay was great, the room and the hotel in general were very clean. The location is perfect for visiting the city and it's very close to the metro too. I arrived with a late check-in and I got very detailed instructions for checking in. All around a very good experience

Close to alot of amenities. I stayed 2 nights it was great. Room was clean and staff was nice. Id stay here again
