Lovely small hotel/restaurant in a converted 19th century house. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Went well out of their way to fix a minor wifi problem. Would definitely return.

Advertised as daily housekeeping but it was not. General overall cleanliness of corridors and common areas was not as expected. Very small shower.
Assigned a basement room next to the kitchen. We were unhappy with the room and asked to be moved. They moved us to a slightly better room on the 2nd floor and charged us an extra $81/night. I would not have agreed to it but the basement room was too hot to sleep in. Neither room was very good. The second one was slightly more spacious. At least it had chairs to sit in. No usb charging stations.
The hotel had a restaurant and bar. Both were very good. The business plan seems to be to run a restaurant and bar with a small hotel as a side business. We checked in when we got there with the bartender. Delicious food
It was well located. Easy access to old town and several restaurants.

They lost my reservation which put me out a great deal for one night but the staff was amazing and my room was incredible as was the breakfast. There is no elevator but staff helped me a little with my luggage. There are no modern USB plugs so bring a converter.

Very nice people. Made our stay very pleasant. Enjoyed the wine and beer on the patio with our host after we settled into our room. They gave us a wonderful recommendation for a restaurant for a yummy dinner.

Easy check in with large spacious car park at rear. Very comfy bed and good quality linen. Only 1 chair in room when there was room for a 2nd - I hate having to sit on a bed in a hotel room. Nice clean bathroom, with big fluffy towels. Luggage rack and large wardrobe space. Iron and ironing board, plus hairdryer. No usb sockets, but plenty of 3-pin sockets. Our room was in the basement but was very quiet, and we slept well. Little box of treats in room and a kettle with tea, coffee and shortbread! Shower was better than it looked and lots of hot water. Breakfast excellent with cooked options included in standard rate such as bacon and sausage sandwiches, with additional options for a small supplement, including veggie Scottish breakfast, which was delicious, although the tomato chutney had a kick! Bar area was really nice and we relaxed with a drink before going to bed.
