Staff was friendly. Room was dated but clean. The mattress with metal coils was flat, noisy and super uncomfortable. Time to get a new one in this room.

Beautiful old hotel. Well maintained and comfortable. We booked 2 nights. We had to remind ourselves that we were in Scotland and things were different than we were use to. The bed was uncomfortable and the top cover was too small for the bed. Either we did not know how to flush the toilet or it wasn’t working properly. We reported it to the staff. It was like priming a pump to get it to flush. Don’t know, in this beautiful old house, that might be normal.
